    PREFACE

The Creator of heaven and earth never intended for His children to languish in poverty. So why do the people of God often appear among the poorest, while those with wealth seem to possess so little? The blame rests upon us, for we have strayed from the laws and principles God bestowed upon us to attain abundance. We've been pursuing worldly methods, disregarding the fact that gold and silver belong to our God. The advancement of God's work requires resources, and as His children, we must learn to generate wealth for His kingdom, according to His divine principles.

This is precisely the essence of the book you hold in your hands. The foundation of this book was laid during a gathering where Brother Zach engaged with the church leaders in Yaoundé. Drawing from the teachings of Jesus on financial matters, the lives of Bible characters, and the wisdom of contemporary spiritual leaders, the author meticulously examines the role of money in a Christian's life. It encompasses its impact on our walk with God, our eternal rewards, and our relationships with fellow believers, spouses, children, and beyond. The pages overflow with practical advice on managing money as a faithful disciple.

As you reach the final pages, the author unveils a testament of God's unwavering faithfulness in providing for His work. He recounts how, over the course of the first three decades of our ministry, God has consistently supplied the funds needed to advance His mission.

Our prayer, as you delve into the pages of this book and internalize its message, is that you encounter blessings in your relationships—with your spouse, children, and most significantly, with the Almighty. May you reap a richer reward in the eternal realm as you navigate this temporal life, for the direction of money shapes the direction of your heart.

    May the Lord bless you!

    MONEY IS DIRECTIONAL

YOUR HEART MOVES TOWARDS YOUR TREASURE

You can be in America, but your heart is in Cameroon, in your account. So, you will be worried about what will be happening in Cameroon. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

There is a simple way to become a lover of the Lord: put your money in the Lord and your heart and your all will follow. Corrupt men invest their money elsewhere but they pray that God will teach them to love Him and they wonder why they can’t love the Lord.

Where have you put your treasure? Your heart moves towards the treasure. That is why the Lord said,

"Sell our possessions and invest the money in your heavenly account." (Mark 10:21)

then, your heart will be in heaven. But we rather convert the money into a lot of properties and keep it here, then say, O Lord! O my God! Oh, that I may love Thee! Hypocrisy! Then you may start fasting. It doesn’t say that your heart follows your fast, and I’m not telling you not to fast; but your heart will not follow your

    fast,

    prayers,

    evangelism,

    pastoral ministry.

Your heart will follow where you have put your money.

That is the prescription of the Eternal King and He is right. Your heart will follow your treasure. Invest here on earth and your heart will be on earth. Invest in heaven and your heart will be heavenly. Then they say, Why is the world so much in my heart? Of course, they are investing on themselves and then they ask me why? Their heart is just following where they are investing. If that part of the Bible is wrong, let’s go and burn all these Bibles, and scatter them and perish. Because if the Lord just lied in one thing, He lied in everything and He can’t be the Saviour. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

My dear brother, my dear sister, where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. When you have a little money, where you ensure that you invest, that is where your heart is; that is where your heart will follow. When you have much money, where you put much of it, that is where your heart is. I am amazed that it is that simple. It is just to decide, and it is not some mystery that people cannot understand. If you put your treasure somewhere, even if your heart is here, for now, your heart will start going there. When your heart is somewhere else, and you put your treasure here even if your heart is there, you put your treasure there. The treasure has enormous capacity to pull the heart. The treasure is the magnet that pulls the heart.

Oh, my Father! Tear the veil from the hearts of the brethren that they might know this, that they might hear it, that they might believe it.

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I impart God’s faith to the children of the Kingdom that they might know this, that they might believe it, and that they might act it out.

I see demons fighting against this. I see warfare in many hearts. I see this snatched right away. I see resistance. I was surprised to realize that it is all so simple. How wonderful God is! And He has not complicated the things so that we may not understand. Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. That is why the Lord says, Sell your possessions and transfer them to heaven. Because possessions have a capacity to make the heart to be earthbound.

INVESTING IN THE GOSPEL: A WAY TO BECOME A LOVER OF THE LORD

The Lord said, Sell all what you have … and put it where? To the poor and the poorest. The poor are those without the gospel, because absolute poverty is not having Jesus, not hearing the gospel of salvation.

In another sense, God is saying, Sell your possessions and invest in the gospel – it is Jesus of Nazareth. Are you mad or you
