Queen Saffron

Swish, swish is the sound of the rolling waves of our beautiful, peaceful oceans. This story is about Queen Saffron, a little snail, who was in charge of caring for all the ocean creatures on our planet. She loved every one of them, and she wanted to keep them healthy and happy.

But as time went on, Queen Saffron became very upset, because she did not like all the rubbish that was being thrown into the ocean. Queen Saffron was fed up with all the plastic, glass, and metal that was polluting the water, which was their home. She wondered how lazy humans had become, and why would they use the ocean as their garbage dump.

One day, Queen Saffron slowly climbed onto her big rock by the oceanside, and called for Zaza and Delilah, two of her adorable dolphin friends. She asked them to communicate with the whales, seals, octopuses, and all the other ocean creatures. They were to get together and push all the garbage to the shores, so humans would learn a lesson and stop destroying their home.

Zaza and Delilah did just as Queen Saffron asked. All the ocean creatures got together and worked as a team. With all their might, they pushed every piece of garbage they could find onto the shore. They hoped and prayed that humans around the world would understand the message.
