The She Team Does Lockdown

About this ebook
A deadly virus has spread all over the world, causing serious disease and confining everybody to their homes for months at a time. The Mammy and Daddy have to work from home and mind their three boys – baby Éanna, eight-year-old Eoghan, and ten-year-old old Diarmuid. Tempers become frayed and the mischievous boys cause a few problems without meaning to. Our heroes, the She Team, come up with solutions to these problems and others, much to the delight of the boys and the initial disbelief of their parents. As time goes by, however, the Mammy and Daddy are forced to look at their pets in a different way and see how special they really are. Maybe they are actually superheroes, as their sons believe!

Roisín lives in Dublin with Susan and Padraig’s grandchildren Diarmuid, Eoghan, and Éanna. And so, you have met most of the cast of The She Team Does Lockdown. The cast does not include Susan and Padraig, who, although slightly mad, are not mad enough to be in The She Team Does Lockdown.

Dedication
This book is dedicated to our beautiful cat, Ebi, who died, aged 15, on 7 October 2022 and to our son and daughter-in-law, David and Nessa, who brought Ebi to us when they found her abandoned and in very poor condition as a tiny kitten. They also brought Trig to us at a later stage and so have contributed greatly to the joy we have received from our animals. I dedicate this book also to my husband, Padraig who initiated and developed my love of animals and brought the other members of our pet family to our house – Smig and Mags.
Acknowledgments
First mention must go to the members of The She Team – Mags the dog and the cats Smig, Ebi, Trig, and Roisin. Caring for them and observing their behaviour and habits has been my inspiration for this book and also its predecessor The She Team. Without the real animals neither book would have happened.
There would have been no books either without my three adorable, but occasionally mischievous, grandsons, Diarmuid, Eoghan and Éanna.
Thanks also to my sister, Deirdre Johnson, who gave me the idea for the lockdown part of the book. I had started a more generic book, called The She Team Rides Again when she suggested that I make the lockdown a focus of the book since it might turn out to be a very significant event!
Love and thanks, as always to my husband, Padraig, who supports me in my writing, as he does in all my crazy pursuits. He is also my number one proof-reader, sounding board and solver of practical problems.
Introduction
The first book in this series, The She Team, described how the team was formed and related their adventures as they took on their first jobs. The She Team is made up of four cats – Smig, Ebi, Trig and Roisïn and a dog, Mags. The fact that they are all female led them to choose the name ‘The She Team’.
All five animals were rescued from a
