Emmie Seals was born and raised in the hills of Tennessee where she still resides with her husband, four children, dog, a fluffle and a flock. She is passionate about literacy and creating works that can act as mirrors for and windows into the lives of others. INTRO

Hey, you! Before we get started, I want you to know that I am so glad you’ve picked up Intruder Alert. This story actually started as a fun, writing-prompt that I did with my kiddos one summer. Can you believe a fun summer activity turned into a book?!

There are a few characters that I want to introduce you to. Make sure to check out their pictures on the next page! You’ve probably heard that you should not judge a book by its cover. Well, guess what? Our forest friends want you to learn with them that you should not judge someone before you know their story.
