I want to dedicate this book to a very special lady, Kathryn Lang.

This book was put together with recipes from one of Mama Kathryn’s recipe books called Cooking Clips. She is now in heaven.

(As always) Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:4)

My prayer has always been that each day is for taking time to just delight in the Lord and His word.

Our family has always had family gatherings in one way or the other, either for a holiday or a birthday. I have enjoyed putting all the recipes together from this recipe book. It was given to me after her passing.

Kathryn was a woman of the word and a very precious lady. She loved cooking, not only for family but sharing at her church.

Dorothy is also a painter and has painted several pictures that hang in the homes of upscale people. She loves to scrapbook, sew, cook, and write in her spare time.

Dorothy resides in Southern California, and she is married with two sons and a daughter, two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law, five beautiful grandsons (one is in heaven), one granddaughter, four great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters.

Dorothy L. Sannes has always had a love for books since she was a child. The love of books gave her the desire to write, starting with poetry.

She has written a book of heartfelt poems called Gentle Moments, notes from the Lord. One of her poems Renewed Assurance has been published in Sunrise and Soft Mist, a large book of poetry.

Her book Family Recipes from the Hearts of our Family is the first cookbook. Simple Things You Can Do To Carry Your Child Through School and Ice Tea and Roses are mystery novels. Deadly Insights is a sequel to Ice Tea and Roses, Nightmares of a Stepdaughter, and more. All her books can be viewed and obtained through her web page www.c-dorothysfavoritefamilyrecipes.com.
