About this ebook

When I have episodes of the past, Dr. Lewis recommended I walk, get out of the house, read, exercise, or write. He said, "Write about what you see, what you hear, people making fools of themselves, good people, bad people, funny people, coworkers—people in general." I may sound homophobic, prejudiced, racist, a son of a b——, but I just got my own humor; it sounds f—— up, but it's still humor.

    Chapter 1

I believe that just because you do not look like a fool or court jester, you cannot be mistaken for one.

This is a book about a Vietnam veteran who came back from war different than when he left to go to Vietnam. It took him forty years to open up to a Puerto Rican doctor who barely spoke Spanish; but this veteran gives him all the credit for him being alive today.

For forty years, I was walking around with what is called PTSD, and it was Dr. Miguel Lewis who brought it to my attention. Since talking to him, it has made a big difference in my life, my family’s life, my friends’ life, and my coworkers’. Now that I know what I have, it is easier to steer life.

Whenever I have episodes of the past, Dr. Lewis recommended walking, getting out of the house, reading, writing, or exercising. He said, Write about what you see, what you hear, people making fools of themselves, good people, bad people, funny people, misers, coworkers—people in general.

I may sound homophobic, prejudice, racist, a son of a ——, but I am not any of these things. I just got my own humor—that sounds f——ed up, but it’s still humor. Thanks to Dr. Miguel Lewis, a great psychiatrist at the VA hospital in West Palm Beach.

I want to dedicate this book to all my vet friends that are still alive today, and to those that hate to read because once they start reading my book, they won’t want to put it down.
