About this ebook

In this study we learn that God will never break His covenant nor ever alter the word coming out of His mouth, for He watches over His word to perform it.  As we go through this study we learn to minister as Jesus ministered and how to heal the sick and cleanse the lepers and raise the dead as Jesus did.

We also learn all about Paul's thorn in his flesh and what it actually was that was afflicting him, and also about the calamities of Job and why they came on him.

We have been given The Measure of the Father: which is the Faith of Jesus and  that Faith is knowing that God your Father is: always faithful, full of love, always good, and is willing to use His power to meet your desires, and is not slow concerning His promises. So we learn how to step out in faith and do what we have been called to do.

And lastly we address the question many people ask, Can I sow into some ones anointing?

Application of the Perfect Redemption Plan 4 - Gery Malanda

    1. God will not break His covenant nor alter the word of His mouth.

The Lord says: My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that has gone out of my lips (Psalm 89:3 4). Now let us talk a bit about the covenant of the Lord. As we have already explained in the series of the Perfect Redemption Plan, a covenant is not just a mere contract, but it is a blood contract. That is why in Genesis 15, when the Lord made a covenant with Abram, animals were cut in two pieces, and the terms of the covenant were spoken, but God was the only one who walked between the animal’s pieces. So a covenant is not just a mere written decree that is signed, but it is a blood decree that is signed. And if one of the parties in the covenant breaks it; there are severe consequences even the death of that party.

Let us read again what happened in that account of God cutting the covenant with Abram.

Genesis 15:7 And the Lord God said unto Abram, I am the LORD that brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this land to inherit it.

Genesis 15:8 And Abram said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?

Genesis 15:9 And He said unto him, Take me a heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

Genesis 15:1 0 And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds he did not divide.

Genesis 15:1 1 And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.

Genesis 15:1 2 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

    Genesis 15:1 3 And he said unto Abram, know of a surety, that your seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

Genesis 15:1 4 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

Genesis 15:1 5 And you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age.

Genesis 15:1 6 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

Genesis 15:1 7 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

Genesis 15:1 8 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Genesis 15:1 9 The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

Genesis 15:2 0 And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

Genesis 15:2 1 And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.

God fulfilled that covenant made with Abram, by delivering the Hebrews from the house of bondage of Egypt, with the hand of Moses. And through the leadership of Joshua, the assistant of Moses, God gave them the land of Canaan, their land flowing with milk and honey. God put Abram to sleep and it is the burning lamp, even Christ Jesus, who walked in the midst of the animal pieces. This was to symbolize that Jesus Christ will do it all.

What do we mean when we say that Jesus Christ, the burning lamp or burning bush, will do it all in that covenant? Notice carefully that Abram did not die, but was put to sleep by God? What does it mean? Paul tells us: likewise reckon also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:1 1). The secret of the Cristian faith is to reckon or consider ourselves dead, we are not dead physically, yet we consider ourselves dead, not just to sin, but also to self. Christians are not walking zombies! That is not the meaning of Paul at all! Basically what happens is, you stop relying on yourself and your abilities, and rely on God and His abilities through you. In other words people see less of you, and more of God!

John the Baptist puts it this way: Jesus must increase and I must decrease (John 3:3 0). That is why Paul tells us: I am crucified with Christ [meaning I consider or reckon myself dead]: nevertheless I live [so I am not a walking zombie since I am still breathing in my physical body]; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh or body I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:2 0). Paul even understood that even the faith he had, he received it from Jesus. Jesus told us: if we truly consider ourselves dead to sin, and self, but alive to God through our Lord Jesus, we will live by Christ. He says: Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches: He who abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing (John 15:4 -5).

Paul, who reckoned or considered himself dead to sin and self, told us: it is God who now works in us, both to will, and do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:1 3). So we still do things and works and good deeds, but we have the understanding it is now God doing them through us. Jesus Christ is living through us. Many Christians do not understand the New Covenant, they think since it is grace, therefore we no longer do any work or good deeds. We still do works and good deeds, but we have the understanding it is God, who is now working through us, both to give us the willingness and the ability to work in the kingdom of God, for His good pleasure. In other words, we yield our members to the Holy Ghost and we surrender our life to Jesus. That is what God meant when He put Abram to sleep during the cutting of the covenant. Surrender your spirit, soul and body to Jesus Christ, the burning bush or burning lamp, and let Him live through you! My prayer is that you will understand that God wants to live through each one of us, we need to surrender our spirit, soul and body to Jesus Christ!

When we read in Joshua 9, the Gibeonites made a covenant with the people of Israel. They deceived the Israelites by pretending that they were not their neighbours, whom God commanded to utterly destroy. Joshua and the leaders of Israel did not inquire of the Lord whether what the Gibeonites were telling them was true. So they made a covenant with them. The terms of the Covenant was that the Israelites would have peace with the Gibeonites and the Gibeonites would be their servants: woodcutters and water carriers for the congregation and for the altar of the Lord (Joshua 9:2 7). When the people of Israel got to know that the Gibeonites had deceived them, that they were their neighbours whom God commanded them to utterly destroy, the congregation was not happy with Joshua and the leaders, but though the covenant was cut in a deceptive way, it did not annul it.

The children of Israel did not attack the Gibeonites, because the rulers of the congregation had sworn to them, by the Lord God of Israel, and all the congregation complained against the rulers (Joshua 9:1 8). What some Christians do not understand is, that they represent God, they are God’s ambassadors, and whatever they say to people around them, it is as if it was God who spoke it directly. Christians should not be having idle words or words void of fulfilment coming out of their mouth. I say unto you, That every idle word or word void of fulfilment that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment; for by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned (Matthew 12:3 6-37). Here is a group of people that God determined to utterly destroy, but because Israel did inquire of the Lord, and went to cut a covenant with them, Israel was now forbidden to destroy the Gibeonites, and they were to cohabit with them in the same land.

Some Christians will think, since they lied to us to cut the covenant, we will also only perform half of the covenant: we will not just attack them, but if they are attacked by another nation, we will not defend them. You see, we are representing God, and even if we are faithless and liars, God remains faithful, because He cannot deny Himself, it is who He is, His name is Faithful and True (2Timothy 2:1 3, Revelation19:1 1). Sarah lied to Jesus about not laughing in the tent, when Jesus told Abraham: by this time next year when I return, Sarah will have a child (Genesis 18:9-15). God is Faithful and True and His words are faithful and true, and He will perform them (Revelation 22:6). So when the Gibeonites, who lied to Israel to cut a covenant of peace and protection with them, were attacked by the kings of the Amorites, because they were furious with them for having made a covenant with Israel (Joshua 10).

The Gibeonites sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying: do not forsake your servants; come quickly, save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites, who dwell in the mountains, have gathered together against us (Joshua 10:6). Joshua might have wanted, not to come at all, but since he was in a covenant and was representing God, he had to go and deliver them. So he might have thought: these Gibeonites lied to us to cut the covenant, therefore I will drag my feet and perhaps when I get there, the kings of the Amorites will have already killed all of them. But The Gibeonites reminded him of the term of the covenant: come quickly, save us and help us! When you have come to the battle field, do not stand idle, but fight all our enemies, the battle is not ours, but it is yours, since we are serving you.

You see that is what God also said to Israel, since they were in a covenant with Him, and they were serving Him. God told them and tells us Christians: I will never leave you, nor forsake you, so that you may boldly say; the Lord is My helper, I will not fear; what can man do to me (Hebrews 13:5-6)? Jehovah the Man of war is His name (Exodus 15:3 ), the battle is not yours, but the battle is the Lord’s, therefore stand still and see the salvation that the Lord will perform on your behalf, as for you, hold your peace, the Lord will fight for you, for the Egyptians (your attackers)whom you see today, you shall see them no more, never again (Exodus 14:1 3-14). Not just the Lord will avenge you, but He will avenge you speedily (Luke 18:8). God is not slack or slow concerning His promise, as some men count slackness or slowness (2Peter 3:9).

So since Joshua knew how God treated them, because they were in a covenant with Him, and now he and the rulers of Israel had given their word to the Gibeonites, even though the covenant was contracted by deception, they were to treat the Gibeonites in that covenant, the same and perfect way, like God treated them, because they were in covenant with Him. So Joshua went up from Gilgal, he and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of war, and Jehovah said to Joshua, Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. There shall not a man of them stand before you (Joshua 10:7-8). As you read Joshua 10, Joshua and his warriors fought all the kings of the Amorites and defeated them. The Gibeonites did not fight; for the battle was not theirs but Israel’s, since they were in a covenant with them to serve them, and in return Israel had to guarantee peace and protection for the Gibeonites. May we understand the benefits of being in a The New Covenant with the Lord!

As you serve the Lord, meaning you first of all hate evil, depart from it and practice righteousness, and then preach the gospel of Christ, heal the sick, cast out devils and raise the dead; God covenanted to give you peace and protection. It is your inheritance as a son or daughter of God, who are serving your Father. God said it to Isaiah: behold, your enemies, mainly Satan and his vassals, shall surely gather together, but not by Me: whosoever shall gather together against thee, shall fall for your sake. Behold, I God have created the blacksmith that blows the coals in the fire, and that brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of Me, says the LORD (Isaiah 54:1 5-17).

In the book of Judges, when the children of God stopped serving the Lord God, to go and serve the other gods and live like the heathen, when they were in distress, they came to the Lord God for deliverance. God said to them: you have forsaken Me and served other gods; therefore, I will deliver you no more. Go and cry to the gods which you have chosen. Let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation (Judges 10:1 3-14). If you do not keep your part of the covenant, God is not obligated to keep His. Avoid especially the sins leading to death, which are rooted in idol worship. Paul lists them for us in 1Corinthians 6:9-10. You need to hate evil and depart from it, that is the true fear of the Lord, and then practice righteousness, if you want to be accepted by Him like the saints of old were; for God is no respecter of persons (Acts 10:3 4-35, Proverbs 8:1 3, Proverbs 16:6). God promised that if you keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight, then you can be assured that whatever you ask for, according to the counsel of the Holy Scriptures, He will grant your petition (1John 3:2 0-22, 1John 5:1 4-15).

I had been in a situation where I was to provide some services for some churches, and they told me they would pay me for the services, and if they are not able to pay me for my services, they would at least cover all my personal expenses. They wrote it in black and white and signed it. I did like Joshua and the rulers of Israel; I did not inquire of the Lord to know whether they were genuine or were just lying, or flattering me? That same week the Lord spoke to me that they will do nothing at all, of what they had promised, and signed in black and white. But the Lord told me: Gery you are representing Me, you are My ambassador, you need to perform all the words that you agreed to do. I understand how Joshua and the people of Israel felt about the Gibeonites! I forgave them for deceiving me, and I performed what I agreed to do. That is why I hate with a passion flattery and hypocrisy, which are but lies, like Jesus hated them. They come straight from the pit of hell and are of the devil.

Saul, when he became king over Israel, he still did not like the fact that the Gibeonites deceived them to enter into a covenant with Israel, and cohabit with them in the same land. So he thought: these people deceived us, and it has been at least four hundred and fifty years, since the days of Joshua and of Judges; so maybe we can now break that covenant with the Gibeonites and utterly kill them (Acts 13:2 0)? So Saul became zealous and killed many Gibeonites. The Gibeonites kept their part of the covenant by serving Israel, and God saw it.

And there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year. And David inquired of Jehovah. And Jehovah answered, For Saul, and for his bloody house, because he killed the Gibeonites and the king called the Gibeonites and spoke to them. And the Gibeonites were not of the sons of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites. And the sons of Israel had sworn to them. And Saul sought to kill them, in his zeal to the sons of Israel and Judah. And David said to the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? And with what shall I atone for this, so that you may bless the inheritance of Jehovah? And the Gibeonites said to him, We will have no silver nor gold from Saul, nor from his house. Also, we will have no man in Israel put to death. And he said, What you shall say, I will do for you. And they answered the king, The man who destroyed us, and who devised against us, that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the borders of Israel, let seven men of his sons be delivered to us, and we will hang them up to the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, the chosen of Jehovah. And the king said, I will give them (2Samuel 21:1 -6).

So because Israel broke His covenant, they were punished by God with a famine, until justice had been done for what Saul did to the Gibeonites. The same thing with the New Covenant that we have with God, He says My Covenant I will not break! It does not matter if it was made two thousand years ago, when Jesus died on the cross according to the scriptures, was buried according to the scriptures, and raised from the dead according to the scriptures. Saul thought because at least four hundred and fifty years had passed, that Israel’s covenant with the Gibeonites could be broken. How much more the New Covenant that we have with our God, through the blood of Jesus Christ, it is an everlasting Covenant (Hebrews 13:2 0)which can never be broken, for Jesus told us: the scripture cannot be broken (John 10:3 5).

Yes in the days of Saul it was a new generation; but as long as the Gibeonites served Israel, as stipulated more than four hundred years ago when the covenant was cut by their fathers, Israel should have made sure that they were protected and at peace. The same thing for our New Covenant, though it was cut 2, 000 years ago, but even in our generation, if we choose to serve the Lord as the disciples of Jesus served the Lord in the first century, God will give us peace, protection and all the other things contained in the salvation package that we have explained in the series of the perfect redemption plan.

People who do not know how to rightly divide the scriptures, do not understand what Paul meant when he said: the free gifts and calling of God are without repentance (Romans 11:2 9). When you read Romans 11 in context, Paul is first of all talking about the Jews, whom God called to be His people, the branches of the Olive Tree of the Triune God. God has not changed His mind about saving the Jews through Christ Jesus, just like He has not changed His mind about saving the whole world and grafted them as branches of that Olive Tree of the Triune God. But Paul explains to us, that the root is Holy, therefore the branches must be holy too, and if the branch does not abide on the vine and bear fruit, it will be cut off, just like Jesus told us also in John 15. So the Jews who refused to live in holiness, or bear the fruit of the Spirit; but instead exhibiting the works of the flesh, were cut off. So will be the fate of some Christians if they also refuse to practice holiness, refuse to abide in Jesus the True vine, and choose to exhibit the works of the flesh, instead of bearing the fruit of the Spirit.

When God calls a person to be in the ministerial gift of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor or teacher, he does not repent or change His mind. It was from his mother’s womb that that person was called, set apart and ordained by God like Jeremiah 1:5 says. God can refuse to work with and through that person, if he does not practice holiness, abide in Jesus, and bear the fruit of the Spirit. Eli the high priest and his sons were cut off. Jehovah, the God of Israel says, I said indeed, Your house and the house of your father, should walk before Me forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honour Me, I will honour, and those that think little of Me, shall be lightly regarded (1Samuel 2:3 0).

King Saul and his family were also cut off from being kings over Israel, and God found another, David a man after His own heart, who shall fulfil all His will (Acts 13:2 2). You and I are kings and priests to our God through Christ (Revelation 1:6). If we act like the son’s of Eli and King Saul, we will be cut off. Once saved not always saved! You must abide in Jesus, and bear the fruit of the Spirit, not the works of the flesh, if you want to remain grafted on that Olive Tree of the Triune God, and enjoy eternal life (Galatians 5:1 9-25, 1Corinthians 6:9-10). Please read the bible studyCome hometo understand what it truly means to be born again.

Now let us go back to the examples of Israel and the Gibeonites or the example between me and the Christians I was working with. Just to throw something in between, because I know people will be thinking that they need to perform every word that they agreed, even if the other party is unfaithful or lied. Whatever you do, always inquire of the Lord, so that you will not do business with dishonest people, or if you do, it will be because God has already revealed their heart to you, and you know the boundaries God has given you, when it comes to relating to them. The truth is, you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. In the area of finances there are many manipulations that go on, even in church, please just read the bible study on biblical prosperity. There are many vows and pledges that are imposed on people, and you just need to read the bible study onbiblical prosperity.

In my personal example that I took, the services that I offered to a church, I was not truly obliged to perform my part of the agreement, since they did not provide financially what they said. It was not a vow or a pledge that I made to God or to them. God was the one who asked me to act in that case like Joshua did, because He was concerned about His church, and
