    THE END OF THE WORK

CHAPTER 1 THE END OF WORK

At present, according to Rifkin, for the first time human labor is gradually being eliminated from the production process. A new generation of sophisticated communication and information technologies are reaching the workplace, intelligent machines are replacing human beings in all kinds of tasks.

Only some jobs are created in the context of the US economy; These correspond to the lowest paid sectors and on the basis of temporary hiring. And this is not just a US phenomenon, but a global one.

UNEMPLOYMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT RATES GROW AS MULTINATIONALS (MNCs) BUILD AND LAUNCH PRODUCTIVE METHODS BASED ON THE LATEST TECHNOLOGIES, CAUSING MILLIONS OF WORKERS UNABLE TO COMPETE WITH SELF-PERFORMANCE AND PERFORMANCE

    SOFTWARE REPLACEMENT by employees

Due to the great global competition the MNCs seem determined to accelerate the CHANGE OF WORKERS BY MACHINES.

COMPANIES PREFER INVESTMENTS IN CAPITAL OVER PERSONNEL; And although at first the machines did not perform as expected, now these investments in robots and automation have begun to be profitable, thanks to the increases in productivity, reduction of labor costs and the growth of the efficiency of technology.

    REENGINEERING

REENGINEERING REFERS TO THE PROCESS OF RESTRUCTURING COMPANIES WHICH TENDS TO ADAPT TO THE USE OF COMPUTERS, AND THUS SIMPLIFY THE PROCESSES OF PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSES

Thanks to this process, productivity increased, as did the number of unemployed people. The rapid road to automation is steadily leading the global economy to an INDUSTRIAL FUTURE WITHOUT WORKERS, WHERE EACH TIME FEWER BLUE NECK OR INDUSTRIAL WORKERS. And as white collar or clerical workers are on the rise, they are also expected to be replaced by automated systems in the service sector.

The wave of job cuts takes on political relevance because economists and politicians must constantly modify, since the end of World War II (WWII), what is the normal or healthy rate of unemployment in an economy. The introduction of more sophisticated technologies, with their implicit profits, means that the global economy can produce more goods and services while employing fewer workers.

    A world without workers

When union leaders criticized the trend to replace workers with machines in the 1960s, they were not taken into account by business leaders. Today, a growing number of entrepreneurs began to worry about the problem. Society itself discusses its insertion into the modern labor market, making analyzes previously reserved for scientists.

The revolution generated by new technologies offers a profound social transformation. For this transformation not to be unfair and cause social unrest, A WORLDWIDE REDUCTION IN WEEKLY WORKING HOURS AND a joint effort by all to create jobs in a third sector: THE SOCIAL ECONOMY, where the market is no longer useful.

CHAPTER 4 CROSSING THE HIGH-TECH FRONTIER

The transition to the information society, a new economic paradigm, is currently being experienced.

From the end of the Middle Ages, the foundations were laid for a progressive technological development that had the power of the machine as the protagonist. The First Industrial Revolution in England caused very profound changes that spread to the rest of the world. The steam engine was used to open new factories (textiles, metals, etc.) as well as trade routes (transport). The Second Revolution in 1860 had
