The Cycle: The Fourth Book to Mother’s Children
()
About this ebook
This book will contain some stories from the previous books to allow you to have some sort of idea on how I have reached this stage in my life and how important these everyday factors of life have affected my life.
I have also included various poems from Poetry in Controversy, published in 2005, and other poems I have created along my journey throughout this book.
I have literally become another person over the last twenty-five years. My identity has been molded by age, experience, education, and the loss of my mother.
Whether it will be in this particular sequence or not does not really matter. It sometimes incorporates all the said things above at once or a little at a time. Regardless, all these factors make my life the way it is today, and the effects it has had on me made me the person I am today.
Family and people have affected me greatly and have influenced my very actions in my day-to-day life and how I want to live it. That is because we all grow up together even though we are apart!
It’s funny when I look back, and I feel sad when I think of the latest events. But my life has been a learning curve from the beginning, and it has been very interesting. It can be exciting at times and quite overwhelming, but it’s very interesting.
If I had the choice to live it again, I wouldn’t change anything except for the preparation of losing the nearest and dearest loved ones.
It has been wonderful and intriguing! As each experience came, I learned another lesson, and it was difficult but fun! (I say that with a smile on my face. Trust me!)
Sandra Maddix
Sandra Maddix was born and raised in Neasden, North West London, in 1966. She has a mixed cultural/religious background and grew up in a dominant matriarchal home. Her main belief in life is that knowledge in any form or direction is power; hence she has many qualifications, including architecture, under her belt. Suffice to say writing has always been her passion. Unlike most, she has lived a far from quiet life that gets reanimated through her writing, which does not leave a lot to the imagination. Overall, Sandra has faith in people and life, belief in humanity and all it stands for, morals, values, faith, and respect for life. Anything is possible.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND DEDICATIONS
This book is dedicated to both of my children. Jurita, Everlena, Davina Bennett and Ceake Keith Bennett Maddix.
Also my friends who have stood by me through everything in my life and encouraged me to never give up on my dreams.
Thanks to my Mother, wherever she is in body and spirit. I will always love her and feel totally privileged to have been her loving daughter.
She was my inspiration and my incentive to do myself proud and to her credit, I did very well indeed. (Anyway, so, she always told me)!
Again, I would like to send out a special dedication to all of the silent people out there who inspired me and encouraged me to do something that they could see in me.
Finally, after all of this, I will have achieved one of my long term ambitions and that has always been to be creative with my words. So as well as my story told via fiction, I will endeavour to incorporate some poetry and I hope you will see the connection.
Poetry has always been one of my
