Melanie Chisholm ‘I NEED TO LIVE A LITTLE’

From the outside, it looked like the time of their lives. Fuelled by ‘girl power’, the Spice Girls took the world by storm and redefined girl bands. But behind the scenes, the group was plagued by infighting and jealousies as they also fought their own individual battles. For Melanie Chisholm, 48, the unprecedented levels of fame brought anxiety, clinical depression and eating disorders, which threatened her health to the point she sometimes wonders how she survived. As she publishes her memoir, the singer tells WHO she’s ready to embrace her past and grab hold of the future.
