About this ebook

Tyrone Jordan doesn’t claim to have experienced all that comes with waiting on the Lord during a season of opening and closing doors in an individual’s journey. However, he can relate to what has been shared in this book. The purpose of this book is to prevent people from tapping out in the in-between. It’s in the middle that the journey gets chaotic and pressing, but once a person declares and accepts the call on their life and acknowledges their purpose is far greater than where they are, that’s where their journey begins. The experiences in-between may vary, but the battles that we have to overcome is very much alike for us all.

Jordan hopes that the readers will embrace these truths in this book and allow it to comfort the reader in knowing that he or she is not by themselves. We are here in the moment together, and we are going to overcome together. We speak strength and encouragement to the reader and confidence in knowing that this journey was all in God’s plan for your life to prepare you for your mission and the fulfillment thereof. We will get there!

    PREFACE INTRODUCTION

G od has a way of revealing his hand on your life when you come to a point of wanting to quit. When you pray for God’s will to be done, you’re saying that you are giving the Lord your plans and desires. In His will, there will be in-between moments of loneliness and despair. There are moments that you will begin to question your worthiness in your home, your career, and in ministry; which in turn leads you to question your God-given purpose in life. These are the times in which you are most vulnerable, and your spirit becomes open to the enemy. You must be careful not to make critical decisions during these moments. Satan loves to prey on those who show or reveal their emotions.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

You can’t allow your feelings to lead your life. We must recognize that our emotions are distractions, so we will not allow our purpose to be intercepted by them. If we are not careful, we can allow our feelings to become a hindrance which will, in turn, hinder our progression. So many times, we allow what we see to become burdens to us, even our responsibilities in parenting, housekeeping, jobs, service in ministry, etc. These are things in which we should be able to do with ease and have been doing for a while, now becomes stressful and overwhelming. Why? Why now? Before God’s plan was revealed to you, there was nothing the enemy saw worth fighting against concerning you. However, when he saw that God chose to use you, you became a threat to him, so now he wants things that you have been doing for years to become pressure and stressful to maintain. If he can tie your emotions up in your responsibilities then you will, in turn, give God less of you. It is Satan’s job to stop you from functioning. Your feeling of worth is tied into you being able to function. Anyone can give in to what they feel, but it takes a strong-willed individual to feel worthless, but yet still be able to produce. You have to know that God is orchestrating your path. I have faced challenges such as this and still do. 2004 started a ministry and until 2014 years in the middle of the mountain, struggling between questioning purpose, questioning value, not understanding how to balance work, church, and family. We were transitioning not fully understanding what we were transitioning into. Afraid to talk to anyone, yet being more concerned about being looked down upon while suffering emotionally, spiritually, marital and in health. So now pride is an issue. Everyone outside view you as being humble because they see how you serve your paster and how faithful
