PREFACE
The journey of this inspirational book first began in spring 2009. I would feel as though I had a ring on my finger; however, when I looked down at my hand, there was physically no ring. For months, I continued to have this feeling, but I did not understand why. I asked God, I went to family and friends, but my question was unanswered.
I suddenly thought back to a prophecy given to me months prior to the feeling of the ring. I was told I was a writer, and I realized my ring was in the spirit. Therefore, I felt the Spirit of God over me, which led me to write about the meaning of a spiritual ring. There was an anointing presence of the Holy Spirit that led me to complete this book for the kingdom. Understand, as a believer of Christ, you wear the spiritual ring of God. You are the bride of Christ. Therefore, you must stay in the spirit, because he has a perfect plan just for you.
When I realized I would begin writing the book, God directed me. Each day, the Holy Spirit would place chapter titles in my mind. For example, some ideas would come to me in the shower, before I went to sleep, in the car, or when I least expected. I was in awe, knowing that God chose me to write.
The one thing which was my weakness turned into my strength, with the help of God. The previous year, while in graduate school, I faced many obstacles. Moreover, during that time, I was shown by God’s grace that I was more effective and powerful with writing than I knew. The feeling of excitement overtook me because I was elated; I needed guidance to begin, and God provided it.
I began to think about how God told Moses what his mission would be. However, Moses came up with excuses why he was not fit for his calling. It is something how you can doubt yourself because of internal or external imperfections, but what seems imperfect to us is perfect with God. When God tells you to do something, do not focus on what appears to be deficient in your life, because God knows your strength. Moses wanted his brother Aaron to speak for him; however, Moses stood before Pharaoh, despite his stuttering speech (Exodus 4:13, 6:30).
We are creations of God. He has called us with purpose, and he has established guidelines for us to walk in his path; however, sometimes life has a way of pulling us into disbelief and not trusting him. Therefore, The Spiritual Ring on My Finger will remind you of who you are and what you are capable of becoming, as long as you learn to let go and stop worrying. Stay reminded that your problems are not going to last forever; they are only equipping you for better situations. So as you embark on this journey, open your hearts to receive God’s words in order to receive your spiritual ring.
INTRODUCTION
In order to wear the spiritual ring of Christ, you must have a relationship with him. If you do not have a relationship with our Father in heaven, he wants you to establish one with him. He has his arms outstretched and asks, Will you be married to me?
He will not force you to accept his proposal. However, if one never gives him an answer, there will be a time when one will be separate from him for forever. Proverbs 1:23-38 (NIV) says:
If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you. But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you—when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you. Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.
What are you doing that keeps you from having a relationship with Christ? Our heavenly Father calls out and yearns for us to fully commit and be married to him and his kingdom, but it is our choice.
CHAPTER
1
Let Go
There are so many pressures in this world that we should give our cares to Jesus. He does not want us to hold on to our past experiences in hurt and shame. Therefore, as you let go, you will move forward and grow as a believer. Throughout all the challenges you face, learn to let go of your problems and learn forgiveness.

God will heal you if you are sincere about a lifestyle change. Remember to let go of the circumstances you have no control over; tell your heavenly Father about it, and watch him work it out for you. Maybe you need to let go of how your parents mistreated you as a child; maybe you experienced physical or mental abuse, were molested, or were affected by gossip. Learn to let go of what you cannot change. As you let go, you move forward and grow. Pray for direction, and stay strong in your struggle.
Go to God for direction, or you are bound to make the wrong decisions. Sometimes, when we are pressured in life, we want to come up with vast solutions to the problem, especially when we feel like God is not moving as fast as he should with the situation. But as the Lord says, My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways
(Isaiah 55:8 NIV). Therefore, we have to learn to trust him in the midst of tribulation, or we may fall right back to our sinful ways.
For example, let us reminisce about the story of Eve in the garden of Eden. Adam and Eve had a perfect life. Everything was sublime for them, until the serpent deceived Eve. She knew what God told her, but she rebelled. Remember, during tribulation and distress, talk to your heavenly Father.
Life is a battle every day because of the struggles we face, yet our hardships make us stronger. Like many under pressure, we begin to feel compelled to take life challenges into our own hands. Instead of trusting God, we begin to rationalize why we need to solve the difficult matter. Yes, life throws curves where at times we may feel hurt, be lonely, or want to give up, but we must not lose hope.
Our Hardships Make Us Stronger
Sometimes, we go through hardships longer because we are not ready for what is to come next in our lives; we may need patience, or we may need to have more faith in Christ. At times, we may pray about a problem to God, yet our prayers can seem unheard; however, do not give up on God. You may feel as if you have been unheard for years, but still give your burdens to Christ because he loves you. Maybe he has told you numerous times to do something, but you do not. He only wants the best for you. It is time to learn patience, have faith, and fulfill the calling for your life.
It is time to step out of your comfort zone, so you can do more for God’s kingdom. A young woman may need to find another group of friends, but she does not want
