About this ebook

Some people believe that Christians should not fight. The fight does not have to be physical. You do not have to come out of the fight bitter, angry with God, and tired of life. The enemy wants you to hold your head down, lock yourself in your room and die. The enemy does not desire that any of your visions or talents be birth and bring you a return.

In this book, Dr. Scott-King shares some battles, some causes of battles, and the battle plan to help overcome defeat and still be pretty on the inside.

    Dedication

I honor God for revealing this book title, theme and photo shoot props to my Pastor and devoted Husband of 16 Years, Pastor Corey King, Sr.

This book is dedicated in honor of my mom, Barbara Jean Bryant Scott, who encountered two near death experiences in one year and came out looking like royalty.

This book is also dedicated in memory of my classmate, Danielle Gatlin, whom I had the opportunity to work with a few months before her death. She was going through a fight, yet remained so pretty, unveiling her fight to only a few.

Thanks to Dr. Daryl Crenshaw and Min. Kenya Carter who contributed some of their real life experiences and struggles to the content of this book.

Lastly, I dedicate this book to my many spiritual daughters who have worked with me in ministry and business ventures. It was you all who first told me that you took notice of the many battles that I was encountering and how I reacted as God was working things out on my behalf.

I honor and pay tribute to all of those people who go through struggles and do not always claim to be a victim; You can become better not bitter.

What an awesome and mighty God that we serve!

    Introduction

The battles that I have encountered have been unbelievable. I have been able to endure each round but only with the help of God. God has been my trainer every round keeping me supplied with living water. Even though we give our battles to God spiritually, there are some physical strategies to help us make it through. It wasn’t until a few years ago that one of my spiritual daughters told me that she noticed the fights that I encountered and how I dealt with them. It was not too many days after that my husband prophesied to me to write a book to help others in their fights because he admired how I handled mine. If you need a battle plan, this book is for you.

Disclaimer-This book in no way replaces professional medical assistance.

    Foreword

Dr. Geneva Scott-King is writing about fights that she encountered at home, church, school, work and abroad. She has had to overcome many obstacles but with the help of the Lord she has made it. Some people thought that she would not make it because of the obstacles, but God helped her and is helping her. She has evolved into a God-fearing Christian Woman. I was in the hospital two times in one year. Many things occurred that I did not know until I recovered, and she told me; She helped me fight to recover.

The Opinions of Others Should Not Really Matter

If You Are Pleased With What You See.

    1. Fighting Self

Can You Imagine Not Feeling Worthy of the Blessings that God Has Bestowed Upon You?

Better Yet, Can You Imagine Really Wanting to do a Venture or Exploration But Continue To Have a Battle in Your Mind about God’s Will?

What About Procrastinating On What God Tells You To Do?

What are some of the causes of fighting yourself? Sometimes people are overly concerned about others and fail to walk out on faith. How many people spend the majority of their time tending to the needs of others, and never fully examine their own personal needs and desires? We cannot fully attend to others needs until we are at peace with ourselves.

Sometimes, people feel that they are not deserving of the blessings that God bestows upon them. How often do we question what God’s plans are for us? We sometimes have a hard time feeling worthy of certain things, especially if we have had some hard times or made major mistakes in the past.

Sometimes, people let their past hold them back. Even though mistakes occurred in the past, they do not have to poison your future. You are given new mercies and chances each day. We cannot place limits on our future, even if we had a rocky past.

Generational insufficiencies can cause a person not to walk in their God given authority. Questioning is the voice heard the voice of God can also cause major delays. I can remember procrastinating on my first book asking myself is the voice of God what I hear. I can recall God sending a young lady that I had not seen in about twenty years to call me on assignment from God to tell me to complete the book. I was sure that I heard the voice of God then...very sure and scared!

You can overcome self by knowing that what occurs in your life is for the glory of God. God created us for his glory, and we should not let a moment pass without realizing this. Just that one concept
