Apostles David E.

Apostles David E. and Marie S. Bumtje, former teacher and nurse. Since entering in full time, they have been able to thereby expose its manipulation and God’s unsearchable wisdom and to enjoy their freedom in Christ Jesus. The experience from their own lives and the cases they met around the world—whether physically or by phone—brought them to the depth of the deliverance under a great anointing. God’s grace on this team, operating in the fivefold ministries with great compassion for the children of God, and for the lost souls as well. There is a great passion to see the children of God set free from satanic bondage, which has made them tireless.

    Prologue

I went to buy a birthday card for my wife’s birthday, something quite unusual to me. Coming from a poor background, I never got to celebrate any of my birthdays. Hence, birthday wishes, parties, gifts etc. were all alien to me. Considering all this, when my wife became part of my life, I had difficulty celebrating birthdays with her.

My wife however had been enlightening me on the subject matter (birthdays), and in view of this, I decided to get her a birthday card on one of such occasions of her birthdays. I got to the store called Dollar Tree, and I went straight to the section where birthday cards were stacked. Though, I knew little about buying, giving and receiving cards, so I made up my mind to choose a lovely card for her. I quickly picked the first one, the words on the card were nice, lovely and romantic. As I went through the card, my heart started beating rapidly and I heard clearly, you can’t express yourself in such romantic manner. Immediately, I kept the card back because I was convinced I am not vocally or verbally romantic at the time.

It dawned on me that even if I presented a card with lovely inscriptions, coupled with a thousand dollars to my wife, she would expect something real from me knowing well that I was not into the tradition of giving cards. It would just come to her as fake, appearing as though I desire to imitate the trend of cards giving. She would expect a gift coming from my heart that would be symbolic. Hence, I settled for something my heart would easily agree on.

    Introduction

The purpose of God on the earth has always been to establish a perfect relationship with mankind. His ultimate goal is to develop a loving relationship with man. A relationship where He can walk together with man for the benefit of man and the good of the earth.

Back in the Garden, when God created man, they had a specific time of fellowship and we see man hiding from God in one of such occasions because there was the presence of guilt, a witness in his heart which condemned him and drove him from fellowship with the Creator. (Genesis 3:8-10)

Prior to this encounter, God had spoken to man and had given him instructions on what to do and how to live in the garden, so there was already a form of training. Man had already received training from God; man’s mind was already programmed in a way to know what God wanted, so when there was a deviation, his heart pricked him and he fled when he heard the voice of the Lord.

God has always sought to lead and guide man in line with His purpose for our creation. He has done this all through the scriptures through different means and He has accomplished this through His word, the Law of Moses, Prophets and Prophecies, His Son, Jesus Christ and His very own Spirit working through the spirit and heart of man.

We live in a generation where men would rather go after signs and wonders instead of allowing themselves to be trained and guided by God and also by His Spirit. Romans 8: 14 say, "For as many as led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God".(KJV) God has never been concerned about signs and prophecies but in training His children to understand and know His ways so that He can lead us by His Spirit.

The aim of this book is to take us through the training process and the relationships we need to fulfill our call on earth. One word of prophecy, one vision and revelation from God is not enough; if you are sure that you have been called into the ministry, then you most certainly need training to help you fulfill your potentials.

It’s my prayer that as you open your heart to receive the instructions contained in this book, God by His Spirit will lead you into a deeper walk with Him and you will fulfill His call in your life in Jesus name.

    In the Beginning

The account of creation gives us a record of the words God spoke when He created the universe and mankind but the first relationship recorded between God and man in the Bible is that of His voice coming in the cool of the day to have fellowship with man.

And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: Genesis 3:8a (KJV)

From then on, God spoke to His creation directly and in some way the scripture didn’t give details. When God spoke to Cain, the Bible didn’t record whether he heard a voice or just saw a form, it simply says, And the Lord said., so from Cain to Abraham, God spoke until He revealed Himself in Genesis 12:7 where He appeared to Abraham. Again, the Bible didn’t give us any form but there was an account of the words spoken.

In the early development of Abraham’s relationship with God, God’s word came to him mostly in visions and utterances but after a while, God appeared to him in a human form in Genesis 18. Note that God had to train Abraham to hear His voice and trust the messages that came through the visions of the night. When Abraham was ready, God came in physical form and Abraham recognized Him.

If you study Genesis 18 carefully, the Bible gives us an account of three men coming to visit Abraham. One of them spoke about the birth of Isaac and the same person later spoke to Abraham about the destruction of Sodom. It was with this third person that Abraham interceded for Sodom. While this third person stayed back and discussed the fate of Sodom with Abraham, the other two who were actually angels went on to the sinful country and destroyed it.

From the conversation recorded in Genesis, we understand that Abraham actually saw God in human form and spoke with Him concerning Sodom. This is God’s order; He trains you with little things and then progresses
