    Note from the Author

Not being a teacher or pastor nor having received additional Bible training, the author is someone searching to understand the Word of God. Of course using the word author is a stretch and maybe just compiling scriptures would fit better. The reason for separating scriptures on the God Head was to clear the writer’s mind to go along with what the Bible says.  A pastor from Mishawaka, Indiana once said If we say the Word just like it reads we will always be right even if we don’t completely understand it.  This phrase has given birth to direction in this travel.  If you can use these scriptures and help resolve questions in the Word of God then it would accomplish the author’s goal.  In history there has been only one person in which time was changed at their birth [BC, AD] and only one who was raised from the dead with many witnesses. It was not the desire to meddle with anyone’s doctrine or try to push a belief but a sincere desire for clearer understanding of the Word. If it seems like some words are highlighted or some scriptures are over looked, it was not intended. God’s Word is incorruptible and unshakeable. If we make changes or omit some scriptures we might lose the power and authority that was once intended. Greek, Hebrew or historic writings could enhance the picture that God has for us. God has left us six thousand years of paper trail and in Proverbs 25:2 has left a challenge for us It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter. This travel through the scriptures has taken a life all its own and has challenged the writer’s process, what is thought as compared to what can be proven. A friend has told me that God conceals his treasures right out in the open. Two verses have a special meaning more than ever before which is For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  In John 3:16 with God so loving the world and giving his only begotten Son, then I asked myself to ponder how great is this love for the whole world.  Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalms 119:11 says that our sin separates us from this love which then thwarts our focus on pursuing the Lord. The question that comes to mind, is it just about getting to heaven, or is it about a love affair with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and daily communion? Are we like the young couple about to wed which all they can think about is each other? As for me I choose the love affair. The Word of God guides us on our spiritual journey, to profit and leads us in the way we should go. When our spiritual roots are shaken or our doctrine is challenged we have choices in which to find the truth. A few questions come to mind: are we first teachable, are we led by the Holy Spirit, is our doctrine unshakeable, and do we present ourselves as students of the Word? Our son said when he gets to heaven it will be just him and the Lord with no one to rely on.  So I am determined to know it for myself the best I can.  We never stop being teachable, we never quit being led, and we are always students of the Word of God.  All scriptures are taken from the New King James Version except what is noted.        Lynn Marsh
