About this ebook

Since the beginning of time, God had a clear image of how He wanted His children to live. Although that plan has been altered by both humans and the great deceiver, Satan, God still has a plan to bring prosperity to His people through the power of multiplication.

Now author Celeste Perez, building on a biblical foundation, demonstrates that God is the originator of the power of multiplication and that humans have the ability to use it for His glory. Today, there are promises that Christians can tap into through the power of multiplication. God does not want His people to live all their lives depending only on humankind or government assistance. Instead, He seeks to introduce them to a land where they can sow and reap. There is a blessing with your name on it, if you are willing to claim it. Your works should not be in vain; driven by purpose, they can change not only your life but also the lives of those around you and of generations to come.

Inspiring and uplifting, this study and guide presents ways to use God’s power of multiplication in your life to prosper and grow more each day in Him.

    Acknowledgments

There are many factors on how this book came about, so I will mention a few. I love to read, and I encourage others to do the same. I have a personal library, but that was not always the case.

It all started in the sixth grade. My teacher, Mrs. Barry, would take the time to read to us. She would have all students sit on a rug and make us listen to her reading, for example, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Little House on the Prairie, and many more. Later she would ask us questions.

Little by little, I saw myself going to the library and checking out books to read. So I’m thankful for Mrs. Barry, and God bless if she is still living. I read somewhere that when children see books around the house or are exposed to them, there is a high probability that those children will become readers and intelligent. At home, we had books around because Dad loved to read. I had always seen him reading a book. He is an intelligent man and very knowledgeable about most subjects.

My past congregation is Fruit of the Vine, Inc. located in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. My first visit was in 2009, but it was not until my first visit with my Apostle Angelica Calveti under the gift of the Spirit that she inspired me to write a book. Later in 2014, Apostle Calveti preached again under the anointment she prophesied that there are writers in the congregation who will write books. Since then, that idea had stayed on my mind.

While fasting for seven nights and seven days in 2015 at Mount Horeb in Palmer, Massachusetts, I was slow and a little weak on my fifth day, but supernaturally from 12:00 p.m. through 3:00 p.m., my writing hand would not stop. I knew this was from God. It was like a flow of the Spirit of God that I could not stop writing. Several times I would close the notebook, and while praying, God would give me more and more to write about. That is how this book was birthed out. The glory is all first and only to God. After several years, finally my first book was birthed.

    Dedication

I dedicate this book to the triune God who is the creator

of all things including the power of multiplication.

    The Power of Multiplication

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.¹

    —Jeremiah 29:11

Since the beginning of times, God had a clear image of how he wanted His children to live. Unfortunately, not only have you and I altered that plan, but the great deceiver, Satan, has also played a part. It was never God’s intention for you to be stuck or stagnant. The purpose of this book is to demonstrate that God is the originator of the power of multiplication, and through this power, humans have the power to use it for His glory. Today, there are promises that Christians can tap into through the power of multiplication.

God does not want His people to live all their lives depending only on humankind and/or government assistance. For example, during the Great Depression, the New Deal for the American people was created. According to Purcell, New Deal programs started in early 1933, with a flurry of activity during Roosevelt’s First Hundred Days in office for the purpose to help Americans in need.² Many do not know that the government created these public assistance programs for temporary relief so people would get back on their feet or situated financially and then proceed with their lives.

Poverty is a curse, not a blessing. It is not God’s plan that His people, your children, or even your grandchildren follow the same steps into poverty. When God appeared to Moses on Mount Horeb, God specifically told Moses what He wanted to do with the chosen. Exodus 3:8 says, So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

God’s promises for His chosen people apply to you and me today. God wants to introduce us to a desirable land where we can see the power of multiplication working in our favor. In addition, this book will emphasize that God is willing to introduce His people to a land where they can sow and reap. There is a blessing with your name on it!

    Chapter 1

    Be Fruitful and Multiply

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

    —Genesis 1:28

For some awesomely good reason, God commanded Adam, the first man created, to be fruitful and increase. There is a divine purpose behind this commandment. That is powerful because we see here the Creator, the Father of all things, bestowing a blessing, which means that He gave them a divine favor to become fruitful and increase or multiply. For this reason, we see the first Adam active, moving, and doing God’s work.

There are many characters mentioned in Scripture where God blessed them. In the case of Noah and his sons (Genesis 9:1), God gave them the privilege to be fruitful and multiply and to fill the earth after the flood. Sarah became the mother of nations and kings of people (Genesis 17:16). A great nation was birthed out of God’s promise to Ishmael (Genesis 17:20).

Look at the promises that God has for us. God told Abraham, I will bless you, and I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies (Genesis 22:17).

In the case of Rebekah, Abraham sent his servant Eliezer to find a wife for Isaac. The family of Rebekah, in the process of letting her go with Eliezer, declared a blessing upon her (Genesis 24:60). It is
