The Book of Old

About this ebook
Nancy Knudsen never knew what to expect as she and her husband got older: She had to find out the hard way.
But navigating the aging process shouldnt be a mystery, which is why she wrote this insightful, enlightening, and entertaining guide on what it really means to turn forty, fifty, sixty, and onward.
Youll get your chance to share in the delights of aging in your own good timeunless, of course, youre dead.
As you progress from age forty to forty-five, youll find that you need a few minutes to relax when you get home from work before taking that walk or lifting those weights.
Many men will start looking back, and instead of seeing accomplishments, theyll see what they havent done, which is the male version of menopause.
Women can expect mood swings, hot flashes at the worst times, night sweats, sleep disruptions, and the slow but inevitable waning of a certain monthly visitor.
No matter how old you are now, youll be equipped to make smart decisions and find comfort in knowing that youre not alone with the humorous insights and practical advice in The Book of Old.

Introduction
This story goes back to 1947, the beginning of the baby boomer generation, and my birth year. For those of you born in the Sixties and beyond, you need to pay close attention to everything you will read in this book, even though you think it doesn’t apply to you. It probably will apply at some point in your lifetime.
I will be starting with what happens to you from the time you reach forty until… Until is the one variable to this story because it will depend on the age you were when you started reading this book, the age you are now, and the age you will be when you die.
Now, get ready for some facts about aging that you may or may not have heard about. Be ready to laugh out loud when you realize that most of these facts are what we all will experience in the future if we haven’t already!
Just remember one thing, everyone experiences these aging exploits in their own order. What may happen to you at age forty-five may happen to someone else at age fifty. Don’t be discouraged; you will get your chance to share these delights of aging in your own good time—unless, of course, you’re dead.
Let’s not forget the ever-changing world from playing "Buck
