About this ebook
Who told you that your figure will change in your 40's? Where is it written that it is inevitable that you could not sustain a slim figure throughout your life?
Nina Bagnall, author of “Looking Good, Feeling Great Ladies 50 and over” suggests that it is indeed possible to have and keep a sustained weightloss throughout life.
Like anything, it will take commitment, will power, and a not giving up attitude. Everything is possible, if you want it badly enough, for yourself.
Processed foods and trans fat, man made; mainly for profit are addictive and extremely harmful to the bodies balance.
Although weight gain is inevitable in your 40's on reaching the peri – menopause and will continue throughout the menopausal years; it can be counteracted by eating healthy food and having a daily exercise regime.
Dieting is not the answer to a sustained weightloss, because diet by definition is temporary. You may lose weight, but once you begin to eat more calories the weight will come back; this time more than when you started.
It is possible to eat three meals a day. Vital that breakfast is not missed. At least 30 minutes of exercise is completed 5 days out of 7.
Its time to start your journey of discovery, self discipline. To wake up full of energy and vitality to enjoy the day before you.
Doesn't your body deserve some tender loving care?

Chapter 1: The Human Body
2.5 million blood cells, made every second, within your bone marrow, to keep your body supplied with oxygen.
The digestive system produces its daily 10 litres of digestive juices; breaking down the food you eat to enable it to pass through your inside skin
- the gastrointestinal wall; 30 foot long structure, surface area the size of a small football pitch which effectively replaces itself every 4 days. The health of your intestinal tract is maintained by a team of some 300 different strains of bacteria and other macro – organisms, as unique as your fingerprint, which exceed the total number of cells in the entire body. The immune system replaces its entire army every week and when under viral attack, has the capacity to produce 2 hundred thousand new immune cells every minute.
Outside skin is effectively replaced every month; Most of your body is renewed over a 7 year period.
The brain; a mere 3lb/1.4 kg of mainly fat and water – processes information of immense complexiy through its trillion nerve cells, each connected to a hundred thousand others in a network whose connections are formed as our life, and the meaning we attach to it unfolds.
The energy produced from a small amount of food, powers all these unseen processes, with plenty left over to keep us warm and allow us to under take a wide range of physical activity. The by products are water and carbon dioxide, both of which are essential for plants – which in turn produce carbohydrate, our fuel and oxygen – the spark that lights our cellular fire.
It is estimated we only use a ¼ of a per cent of our brain capacity and in many cases half the potential life span of our bodies.
Chapter 2: Introduction
I have wanted to write this book for a long time—the title is apt. Therefore ladies, you need to know there is no reason why we cannot stay looking good, both inside and out; remain healthy; have vitality and energy, and keep a keen brain at age fifty and beyond. With this in mind, growing older becomes something to look forward to, rather than fear. So keep this knowledge in your head as you read through this book.
An ebook is so versatile and beneficial; as it can be put on your ipad as well as your mobile phone and if there is something you want to read from it, its simply one click away. Let it act as a reminder that your life does not end when you turn fifty.
The appearance of a lot of women as they reach their middle forties seems to change. Inexplicably they, with gusto I might add, suddenly begin to look older. It might have something to do with how our bodies start to change, and it gets to be more of a chore to keep that stomach flat, hips thin, and bottoms pert. Does this sound familiar? I don’t care anymore, I just want to eat and drink what I want, and not worry about my figure.
Our bodies are a miracle, of which we should all be very proud. It’s not just for the young to be thinking of their hair, figure, and what they eat. This practice should be carried through no matter what age we have reached. Never should looking after yourself be an afterthought,
as it often comes to be later in life. It’s time, ladies, to bring this afterthought to the forefront of your life and to prioritise your day by setting aside time in the morning and evening for the body, mind, and soul.
This ebook will become your reference bible. It will get you started by giving suggestions and options, but ultimately only you can achieve the body you dream of by putting everything into action. Through my own trial and error, all information in this book was collated and put into action. To reach your goal, you will need commitment, will power, a zest for life, and above all, patience. Things in life worth striving for do not come easily, but boy, when they do; they sure are worth keeping when you get there.
So believe me, I’ve done this: With this commitment, zest for life, and above all, patience, you can look good and feel great, have more energy, and a sparkle in your eyes. In fact, you will be taking yourselves on a journey of rejuvenation. Give it a go, what have you got to lose?
So what made me finally sit down and write this? A few years ago I took a trip to Australia to visit my youngest daughter, who was spending a year travelling. While I was there she took me to a place called Byron Bay.
She knew I would love it because it had not changed from the sixties, when a
