John Derek

I like to write. My stuff deals with domination and submission, usually from the perspective of the submissive. I like to imagine what it is like to be uncomfortable and be willing to take a risk. I write about spanking and some other forms of domination. It is meant to be sexual and interesting but not oppressive. This is from my mind only.

    Prelude

She took a deep breath. This was it. Months of flirting. Finally, finally he asked her out. Like really had asked her out. It wasn’t as if they hadn’t been on a date like events before. Except that it had never been a date. They had done dinner and lunches and so on. Sometimes with groups of people and once in a while just the two of them.

Originally, they had just been in a business relationship. Then they had become friends and then the hint of more had started to show up.

They had spent time together, but it was always under the context of business.

But they both knew the day would come where they needed to decide if their relationship was something more than work.

    Apparently that day was today.

It hadn’t been easy for either one of them. He had to work up the courage to ask her. He had thought long and hard about just what to do, and since dinner was something they already did, he wasn’t sure just how to up the stakes to a date. She was usually so focused on work that the one or two other times he had tried to make an overture she had rebuffed it unintentionally. He thought about asking for dinner and a movie, but decided that since they weren’t teenagers that was probably not the best approach. So, he had settled on asking her to his hotel room. He wanted to send her a clear message that this was a real thing. He was really interested in her.

He travelled for his job and was in and out of her town every couple of weeks. He was going to be in again next week, so on the call with her today, at the end of the work talked, he asked if she had a minute or two for a different personal topic. She had of course agreed, as the two of them had had plenty of personal discussions by now.

He beat around the bush for a bit and after a couple of minutes ran out of things to say. She was slightly confused as there was nothing to important or personal to what they had just chatted about. But she always enjoyed talking with him, and the fact that it had been meant as a personal call made her happy. Just as she was about to say good bye to break the now awkward silence, he suggested that maybe, Thursday night, after work, she could come by his hotel room for a drink.

That had caught her slightly off guard.

She waited and thought. He let his question sit. He wasn’t going to rush her.

They were both adults – he near fifty and she near forty – that there was no reason to force her to rush an answer. The silence lingered for what he felt was a moment too long and he started to back pedal. Maybe that was too forward – He started to say.

No. No it was fine she said.

    Oh, uh and he stopped.

    Impulsively she said yes.

He hoped his audible sigh of relief wasn’t too obvious to her. She in turn hoped that he couldn’t tell from her voice how excited and nervous she was.

    The Hotel Room

Pausing in front of the door she listened carefully and thought she heard the noise of a TV being on in the room. She was still slightly cold from the walk in. It was freaking cold out she thought. It was the type of cold that when you breathed in your brain felt it had gotten a brain freeze. Damn Minnesota.

Tap tap tap. The gentle noise of her hand knocking on the door to the hotel room nonetheless echoed in the vacant hallway. At first there was just silence and she wasn’t sure if he was there. He had said to be there around 8, so she had waited until 8:20 to be sure. She smoothed the front of her skirt as she waited for the door to open or a noise in the room.

Time ticked by and while it was probably only about ten seconds it felt like forever. She knocked again, a little more insistently this time. Down the hall the gentle ding of the elevator ticked off.

There were sounds of movement and then the door opened. Rick looked out from behind the door. He had a big grin on his face. Sorry, dozed off waiting for you. Thought maybe you weren’t going to come. He tried to sound light but he actually sounded a little relieved. They were likely both a little apprehensive to see the results of the last couple of years of pretty flagrant flirting.

"Of course, I was going to come.
