Chapter 1

It was an abrupt phone call for sure.

You better be upstairs waiting for me when I get home! That was all Don said after I answered the phone.

My stomach immediately turned. I did not like the tone, nor did I like what he implied with his comments. Heck, it wasn’t just implication, I knew exactly what he meant and my bottom clenched at the thought.
