The Story

Chapter 1

When I was a teenager in junior High School I had a friend named Cal jr, whose dad, Cal sr. was known to be a strong disciplinarian. Or so the legend was. His son and I played sports together and one summer we got quite close. We used to fish together and one time that I remember in particular was when borrowed their family boat to go fishing and got a little careless. We had taken the boat from their slip without asking and then when we returned it we ended up crashing the boat into a dock and scraping both the dock and the boat quite good. We had to call his Dad for some help.

He had to come and fix it all, including dealing with some angry adults whose boat we had also scratched. Needless to say, he wasn’t very happy with us. When you are a 14 year old boy these things are quite stressful and impressionable.

He lectured both of us quite strongly. I remember him telling me if you were my son I would tan your hide. I grew up in a household that did not have corporal punishment. As he said this and I remember thinking that I was grateful I wasn’t his son.

That was as far as it went. He took us both home and dropped me off at his house. As he did so he, I clearly remember him turning to Cal and saying I will deal with you when I get home. I was pretty sure I knew what that meant. That was on a Saturday.

The next time I saw Cal – which was the following Monday at school - he was reluctant to talk about what had happened after I was dropped off. I didn’t come up and ask him if he was spanked. But I hinted around enough. Eventually though, he admitted that he still got spanked by his Dad. He also said that he had received quite the spanking this time. I couldn’t help but think a spanking?
