About this ebook

The Christian Church refers to itself as a ‘New Covenant Church’ believing that they are under the New Covenant. Many Churches have used “New Covenant” for the name of their churches. Being under a ‘New Covenant’ implies that the previous covenant (the “Old Covenant’ or the ‘Mosaic Covenant) has been replaced. The church identifies Jesus’ shed blood as the means for initiating the New Covenant. But is that true? Since the Church figures it is no longer under the ‘Old Covenant’ it is no longer necessary to keep the laws of God for salvation. But is that true? Why did Jesus then tell us to keep them? These things we must study. If the church is wrong, it has led millions, perhaps billions of people astray. Is the church ushering them onto the Broad way which leads to destruction, while assuring them that they are on the road to eternal life and sing Christian hymns along the way?

    THE PREFACE

The Christian Church refers to itself as a ‘New Covenant Church’ believing that they are under the New Covenant.  Many Churches have used New Covenant for the name of their churches.  Being under a ‘New Covenant’ implies that the previous covenant (the "Old Covenant’ or the ‘Mosaic Covenant) has been replaced.  The church identifies Jesus’ shed blood as the means for initiating the New Covenant. But is that true?  Since the Church figures it is no longer under the ‘Old Covenant’ it is no longer necessary to keep the law of God for salvation. But is that true? These things we must study.  If the church is wrong, it has led millions, perhaps billions of people astray.  Is the church ushering them onto the Broad way which leads to destruction, while assuring them that they are on the road to eternal life?

    THE INTRODUCTION

Immediately before God gave the Ten Commandments on Mt. Sinai, we read this in Exodus 19:5, Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. Then embedded within the Ten Commandments we read, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments (Exodus 20:6).

Do you want to be God’s special treasure? Do want to be among the ones who will be redeemed?  God told us how to be one in Exodus 19:5 and 20:6.  And now you are probably saying to yourself, That’s the Old Testament, we are New Testament Christian we don’t need to keep God’s law.

I know that we all have been told that, based on Paul’s words. Paul tells us that the Old Covenant is dead and gone and nailed to the cross, and we don’t need to keep the Old Testament laws, besides Jesus died for our sins.

Paul did said that, but did Jesus agree? No, and I will show you the contention between Jesus’ words and Paul’s words.  They do not agree.  And since they don’t agree, you can’t obey them both, so you have to choose one or the other.  You will choose to follow either Paul and reject God’s law or Jesus and keep God’s law.

Before you choose, remember that Jesus spoke the words of YHVH with His Authority (Deuteronomy 19:18-19, Acts 3:22, Acts 7:37, John 12:29, John 14:10) and Jesus said if we keep his word we will not see death but have everlasting life (Matthew 7:24-27, John 8:51, John 10:27-28).  Jesus’ words must reign supreme over Paul’s words, for Jesus speaks YHVH timeless words of truth.

    Chapter 1 – Basic understandings

I will share with you some basic concepts and understandings that are not taught in the Christian Churches.  Even though they are completely compatible with all the Jesus said, and the YHVH said, they aren’t necessarily compatible with all the Paul wrote.  It is important to know these as foundational to knowing and understanding salvation.

    YOUR SUPREME AUTHORITY

A being (person, spiritual being, or organization) expresses its authority by the laws, rules and commands it issues.  We all have many authorities in our lives: parents, teachers, bosses, police, IRS, Government authorities, medical authorities, religious authorities, YHVH God, Jesus, etc.  When we obey the laws, commands or rules of a being, we have accepted its authority over us.  When we reject or ignore a beings commands, rules or laws, we are rejecting (or spurning) that beings authority over us, and that is to dishonor the being.

While we have many authorities to obey, we all have only one supreme authority.  Our supreme authority is our greatest authority, it’s the authority which we will obey above the authority of all other being, so our supreme authority is also our true god.  We all have a supreme authority, if you don’t know who your supreme authority is, it’s probably ‘self’.  ‘Self’ will at times obey God and at times ignore or set aside His commands.  Self will select which ever authority fits the need at the current time.

While YHVH or Jesus should be our supreme authority, that’s usually not the case.  We know that because if YHVH or Jesus was our supreme authority would obey all they said, and most people don’t obey all they said.  Most people have their own ‘self’ as their supreme authority, then they decide what commands of YHVH, or Jesus, to keep, and when to keep them.  That is placing their own ‘self’ authority over God’s authority.

And people usually make ‘self’ their supreme authority because their churches convince them that we can’t fully trust what YHVH said or what Jesus said, because their Biblical words
