GOD IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS

People play favourites. Studies show that if you put someone in a room with a group of people, separated by ethnicity, that individual will gravitate toward people of like hue. As the saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together.”

Because it is so common for us to favour some people over others, we frequently project this trait onto God. But the Bible says quite a bit about God’s impartiality. As the King James Version puts it, God is “no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34). What exactly does that mean?
