    Blowing desert dust mixed in with the sage and saguaro. Our Apocalyptic riders on horseback. The orange orb hanging low across the desert sky.

    In the Superstition Mountains, it was a treacherous climb.

    Jimmy's horse reared up. Losing hold of his burro tether as it burned through his hands.

    Jimmy's wayward burro, kicking and whining.

    Robby screaming like a girl. Long. High pitched. Made Shane’s ears ache.

    Gunsmoke from Miles’ Glock. With dead aim, he shot the bucking burro falling off the narrow ledge through the air to oblivion.

    Shane on horseback. His finger in his ear. Trying to shake out the ring of Robby’s scream that just finished.
