About this ebook

“You are going to have to explain this to me.”

Even though Hector_1304 and Wendy have managed to sneak into the suite, they were ambushed by the Theriocephalic Thugs. Thanks to the storming support of Gideon the forger and the help from the Pluck Princess, the intruders seem to get out of the hot water. However, the drug lord, Haloom Ghoude, enters the scene with his underlings.

Hector_1304 has to explain the situation to the drug lord, or he and his friends have to face the calamitous consequences. The only surviving member of the Theriocephalic Thugs, Sus Scrofa, is determined to avenge his crippled comrades. The snorting forger, the immobilized diva, and the postal princess are of no help this time. Does the adventure to higher floors end here?

Hector_1304 wants to make a stunning comeback, by persuading the drug lord, by dealing with the last of the beast-headed guards, and by putting on a show to the servants of the Ghoude Corporation.

    Part One

    ---01---

    Where am I?

Have I been getting lost in the aethereal eternity of infinite imagination? It is so surreal that I cannot distinguish the difference between surreality, fantasy, and reality. It is as if my existence in Towerld has been nothing but a dream.

Nonetheless, I am snapped back to the reality, thanks to the Pouch Princess, who is hugging my back.

    ---02---

As I try to observe the vicinity to understand what is going on, I hear a clapping sound. Even though I do not want to admit it, the clap seems to be solidifying the reality that I am trying to perceive with the dizzied mind. (Is the sound wave forming the space?)

I try to focus my eyes, to see what is going on.

I am in the dining hall of the suite. I see an out-of-shape geezer with an ugly bundled beard, clapping his hands. Whatever he is trying to do, his face seems to show signs of feeling contented.

He is ugly. This is reality. You just do not see a mob of beautiful people in Towerld.

I remember this man. He is the owner of the suite. He is the drug lord, Haloom Ghoude.

    What am I doing here?

    Yeah, I remember.

Did I not sneak into the suite with Wendy, trying to steal the painkiller that Gideon needs in order to deal with his withdrawal, and to abduct, I mean, rescue the Pluck Princess from the confinement of the Ghoude Corporation. (Come to think about it, why did I decide to be a part of this rather unrealistic operation? The conscience toward the affection has prevailed over the sternness of the realistic oversight. I guess.)

In this dining room, Wendy and I were trapped by the beast-headed guards. Then, Gideon and his withdrawal wrath have just gotten us out of the hot water. As we were trying to tame Gideon, the Pluck Princess stepped up and calmed down the storming bear with her flute performance.

Whatever has happened to me since the tune entered my psyche? That part of my memory is as murky as the air on the farm floor. The combinative effects of the mind-bending music and the smoky chemicals made me take a trip to unknown. The experience was so transcendental that my mortal brain, human soul, and earthly heart failed to perceive the meanings, let alone comprehend the core concepts. (The cosmic consciousness is too much for a mere mortal that I am.)

I do not belong to that phantasmic firmament. I am not the fantastic being, known as the ‘astralite’ (whatever it is). I am a real human that exists in the reality named Towerld. I am a ‘humanoid’ named Hector_1304.

I have to escape from the dreamy doldrums, and snap myself back to the reality.

    ---03---

I have to wake up. I have to get up. The battle is far from over.

Then, I hear a familiar voice, caressing my ear.

I hope that you are feeling just fine. You look as if you have experienced a lifetime of moments that are just downright divine.

You are darn right, Wendy. That was divine, indeed.

I am still crouching on the carpeted floor, and am trying to get up. My mailing master is wrapping her arm around my shoulder, almost hugging my upper back. She is then getting her face very close to my temple, and whispering into my ear. (Once again, she is getting way too close to me. She is far from being hideously ugly, so I do not really mind. Really.)

I remember. That is right. My cute critter master has just brought me back from the euphoric experience to the reality. Reality is not too bad, as long as she is with me.

You are sweating a cold sweat, as if you are mired in bad debt. The perspiration looks beady, as if you are paying the price for your being greedy.

Where is she getting this idea of my suffering from such monetary issues?

You still look stunned, as if you have just eaten off your retirement fund.

Anyone who is ambitious enough to keep on climbing to the upper tiers of Towerld would have no time for thinking about retirement and pension. I am no Stairway Shieldian, you know?

You look like you are going cold turkey. Wendy says, You can surely make me appear perky.

(You are always a perky postal possum with pouches, all right.)

I am getting goose bumps, because I have just taken a trip to a dreamy dimension. How can anyone not feel what I am feeling, after the exquisite experience?

I am just wondering how my master felt the out-of-Towerld experience.

I ask, Wendy, did you feel it?

She replies, Of course, I felt the music from the very source. There was more to the music than just the variation of the aural propagation with the oscillatory force.

I ask more, What did you witness? What did you see with your very eyes?

She chuckles near my ear, I was very close to having a dream, after being robbed of the steam. I definitely did not feel like having an illegitimate gripe. Besides, I cannot see with my eyes the vibration of the musical stream. I am saying so just because your experience seems to include the rather visual type.

I am afraid that she does not get what I am trying to ask her. I still want to know how she felt about the performance by the Pluck Princess.

Tell me about how you felt the performance.

"The experience was more than just a
