INTRODUCTION
It’s easy to get pulled into the demands of our fast-paced world. From the moment you wake up each morning, your mind is standing by, waiting for your cue to get going on something. So many things pull at you to get your attention. You get sucked into the emails, the texts. Next thing you know you’re pouring coffee but you forgot the cup. You may buy into the belief that the responsible thing to do is to respond to all external demands. The habit of looking at your phone within the first fifteen minutes of your day, for example, can cost you the ability to discern what is important to you. You might have forgotten that you have a choice about what you give your energy
