    Food sustains life, but it is almost unbelievable how many types of food we eat. Most of them, however, are defined by the ways they are prepared and enhanced. We eat foods with geographic descriptions, i.e. Thai or Italian. We eat foods described purely by how they are cooked barbecue or steamed, and we eat foods by various other terms such as pickled, kosher, etc.

    This book is going to explore something a bit different. In the following pages we'll look at an extremely unique way of eating known as the raw food diet. This is not some new dieting technique or a quirky trend, but is a way of life here on Earth for thousands of years.

    Raw foods were the very first kinds of foods that human beings could eat. Naturally, they had different types of teeth and jaw structures in the days when raw plants and meats had to be torn apart in order to be eaten, but this established how our bodies worked.

    In this guide, we are going to look at eating on a step by step basis in order to understand how it works and why unprocessed and uncooked (i.e. raw) foods are the best choices. We
