Poetic Mirror - Ikechukwu Frederick Nwaulu

    Failure Is An Orphan

Why has the world deserted me?

Why have my friends become foes?

Why did the birds stop singing?

What was it that I left undone?

Who will right all these wrongs?

When will my sun start shining?

Is it a taboo to fall?

Can it be fair to avoid me?

He that is down fears no fall.

Nothing is over until it’s all over,

do not give up on me,

    though I fall severally,

I will swim out of the river.

    Procastination

Keep waiting for a convenient time,

in vain you wait, for it doesn’t exist.

Why give attention to things less important?

When failure knocks at your door, take the blame.

Bestowed with a wealth of wizard ideas

but none of them is implemented.

The birds sing sweetly when you are promoted,

they sleep, unheard, when you make no more effort.

If you fail to act and do nothing,

    your tombstone will lament thus:

Deluged with ideas but devoid of focus.

ideas for a change, but everything
