Dedication

This first book of poetry is dedicated first of all to my Mum. An amazing lady who gave birth to eight of us. If times were hard, I never knew it until now when my older sisters tell me. She was taken from us too early through cancer and I still miss her but I can still hear her when I write. Maybe that’s why I enjoy it so much, it gives me the sense that she’s still present in my life.

Secondly, to my Dad, The Bard. If I got the ability to write from my Mum, it was Dad who gave me the gift of poetry. The grief of Mum’s passing must have eclipsed Dad’s input and, dare I say it, we may have taken him for granted for a while. Dad, thank you for being there.

Building Confidence

Encouragement from others can be all you need

The drive is inside you, change gears to succeed

Distraction will tease you, but determination will win

Take your time do not rush it, just make sure you begin

Going backwards is not an option nobody lives there anymore
