INTRODUCTION
I have been thinking about writing this book for quite some time, as I have felt the dire need to share my story about loss with others.
It is only recently that I really realized that there are more types of loss than just the loss of a loved one. Having a heavy heart, I decided to draw an oracle card one evening and ironically the card was about loss.
However, I have not lost anyone recently, but I did in actual fact leave my job after ten years, to pursue a career in writing and that is when it hit me. I was experiencing the effects of an emotional loss.
But, I do not want to give the whole story away, so I will elaborate more on that later in this book.

The Types of Loss
I never realized this, but I must have had a totally misconstrued belief about loss, as I only acknowledged the loss of a loved one, as that hurts more than anything in the world.
Yes, I did also acknowledge the loss of a pet, as we have had to say goodbye to three loving and adorable Jack Russell Terriers, over the past few years, due to old age and that was not easy. But, I only recently came to the realization there are different types of loss.
The Loss of a loved One
One may lose a parent, or a parent may lose a child, or one may lose a spouse, or one may lose a sibling and although these are all considered the loss of a loved one, we all deal with loss in a different way. But, ultimately loss feels unbearable, no matter who you lose.
Many say that it is worse for a parent to lose a child and I can completely comprehend why people would say that. However, this does not mean that losing a parent hurts any less, neither does it mean that losing a spouse or a sibling is in any way easier to deal with. It is still loss and we all know that loss hurts.
Loss of a Pet
If you are an animal lover and you have lost a pet, then you will know how this loss affects us too. No matter what animal you decide to take into your home as a pet. The minute that you decide to adopt a pet, they steal your heart.
They get used to us as their caregivers and we become so used to them that they
