    Drumstick being high in Calcium, Iron and Vitamin C helps in strengthening bones. Drumstick is also a good source of dietary Fiber, Potassium and Magnesium. The soup is a comfort food for the freezing days, have it warm.

    Ingredients

    Chopped Juicy Tomato-½ cup

    Chopped Onion – ½ cup

    Garlic- 5 cloves

    Drumstick – 2 big

    Bay Leaf – 1

    Cloves – 2

    Cinnamon – 1 small stick

    Pepper Powder – to taste

    Salt – to taste

    All purpose flour – 1tbsp

    Butter – 1tbsp

    Green Food Color (optional) – a pinch

    Method

    Peel the Drumstick, to discard the thick outer skin, cut them into large pieces.

    Pressure cook onion, tomato, drumstick and garlic for up to three whistles.

    Grind the cooked ingredients. Strain it out. Take the juice, throw away the residue.

    In a wok heat butter, all purpose flour, roast for a while. Add the whole spices. Sauté. Pour in the drumstick puree. Mix well to ensure no lumps are left.

    Add salt and allow to boil. If the soup is too thick add some water, add the green food color (optional).

    Before serving, discard the whole spices and sprinkle some pepper powder.

    Beetroot Soup

    Beetroot helps in detoxification. Although it has a high glucose content, it is low in calories and almost fat free. Since it is loaded with fibre, it makes you full on lower calories. This makes it a nutritious option for those looking to keep their weight down. Beetroot is also rich in anti-oxidants.

    Making soup at home is easier than u think. This bright soup is inviting, tastes refreshing and will warm you up. Serve with hot crispy, Beetroot balls (recipe in Snacks) for a satisfying meal.

    Ingredients

    Chopped Beetroot -1 cup

    Chopped Tomatoes -½ cup

    Garlic -3 cloves

    Corn Starch -1 tbsp

    Pepper Powder -½ tsp

    Salt -to taste

    Method

    Pressure cook the beetroot, tomato and garlic for up to three whistles.

    Grind them to a puree. Strain them, add water as desired.

    Mix the cornstarch and salt with the puree, and boil for 5 minutes, or till the raw smell of cornstarch
