Chapter 1
The vampire sure made a mistake that day. A big one.
It invited me into its lair. You know what they say. A vampire hunter cannot enter the lair of a vampire unless invited. Or is it the other way round? I can never remember.
I had been hearing rumours about people vanishing from this area. And so of course I had to come visit the place. Daddy was a hunter too, and I guess it was in the genes.
Anyway, the vampire's lair was a creepy-looking factory.
Not creepy like an eighteenth century mansion that has been abandoned for a hundred years, and where ghosts sing sad songs of love and baked pies.
No, it looked like the sort of creepy place which had been deserted for ten years and where no one, not even the homeless and the criminals, ventured.
