      It was the weekend before Christmas and the whole world was on countdown.

      Except for me.

      Last Christmas, I met a boy.

      Last Christmas, we made a pact.

      Christmas would never be the same.

      Life would never be the same.

      One year earlier

      My jaw dropped when Hannah revealed our fancy dress costumes, I thought we'd decided on Mrs Claus?

      What do you think this is? she asked, shaking one of them in my face.

      "Something that her slutty niece would wear. Mrs Claus has way more class than that. Plus, she lives in the North Pole, she would freeze to death."

      Well it's a good job that we don't live in the North Pole then.

      I rolled my eyes as I took the tiny piece of red and white fabric off her, Where did you even buy these?

      "Victoria's Secret, obviously."

      I groaned, Oh no, is this lingerie?

      Who cares?

      Me.

      I can't wear this I said, shaking my head.
