That guy has been looking at you all night.

Willow looked over her shoulder. Across the club floor, she could just make out the outline of a man looking at her. She had noticed that he had been looking at her on and off all night. From where she was standing, she could see that he was tall and toned. He was with a group of male friends. Two of them had already been flirting with some of her other friends. Willow would have had to be blind not to have noticed that the man had been checking her out all night.

But she was still feeling too shy to go over there and make a move. Yes, they were all here celebrating her divorce and her new job on a girls’ trip to the tropics. But even though Willow was single and free of an unhealthy marriage, she still was too shy to actually go over to a stranger and flirt with him.

Faking confidence, she flipped her hair over her shoulder and shrugged, If he really wants to talk to me, he can come over here and talk to me.

That’s the spirit! Her friend, Maya, trilled, taking a sip of her drink.

Willow was pretty sure that all her friends were drunk except for her. No, she was still sober. The truth was she couldn’t hold her booze very well. Three drinks in and she’d be hungover and vomiting all night. No, she decided early on it’d be more fun to enjoy dancing with her friends at a night club that was at the resort they were all staying at.

When Maya had suggested everyone go to the Bahamas for a trip celebrating Willow’s freedom and the new job she had recently been hired for at a media company, she had jumped at the chance. The divorce from Wren had been long and brutal. It felt as if he had been determined to drag it out as long as he could. He had been furious that Willow had divorced him and had wanted to make her pay every second he could.
