    We all make excuses and we all pay the consequences. Excusing what doesn’t work takes its toll, and inevitably destroys relationships. The more we rationalize our feelings, the more isolated and desperate we feel. Every denial becomes a seemingly rational and noble-sounding excuse that is accepted as fact by the majority of people.
