It’s morning. You get up, make breakfast, manage the family or pets, glance at the bills as you run out the door to another job that also demands long hours. All day you are aware that there are not enough hours to complete all the things that are due in the future. At 5 p.m. the engine churns on…social event, grocery store, clean the house, some crisis erupts…Try not to hyperventilate, maybe take a pill. Who do you tell? This was not the plan you had for your life…
While all the problems can’t be solved in a day, even a small break from ongoing stress would be welcome. This book is about the creation of small spaces, the rest stop here and there, that allow you to recover and perhaps strategize about changing the path ahead. Take a breath. You are not alone.

There are thousands of books about time management, multitasking and doing more. This book is about being comfortable with doing less, resting and directing action in a way that energizes or brings peace.
Stress is a state of mind as well as a physical condition, both of which are interconnected throughout our lives. While some level of stress is good and serves as an internal warning system, high levels of ongoing stress can be damaging to your health, relationships, productivity and completion of personal goals. This book is for those of us who do so much that there seems to be little time to regroup or plan for the next thing ahead. Success is about finding a healthy balance between stress, productivity, and peace.
