About this ebook
Tell Me What You CAN Do is an easy-to-understand book that teaches readers to deal with whatever life throws their way by focusing on what is possible, no matter how small the possibilities may be. In my work as a mental health counselor, I often find that patients set unrealistic goals for themselves, only to grow discouraged and quit the task altogether when they fail to reach their own too-high expectations. Tell Me What You CAN Do is a book most people will come away from with more awareness on how to focus on the things that CAN be done in any given situation versus what cannot be done.

In advance praise of Tell Me What You CAN Do
In my real estate firm, things can and do change hour by hour. When this happens, I think of Ms. Egeling’s step-by-step approach and say to colleagues, buyers and sellers alike: Tell me what you can do to get things under control or back on track
or Tell me what I can do to assist you.
By stepping back and saying those few little words, by looking at the big picture for just a second or two before reacting, things do not feel so unmanageable or out of control. I have actually incorporated this method of thinking into my family as well as my business life . . . you can, too!
Tell Me What You CAN Do is an insightful read, showing easy and realistic ways of handling life’s dramas
. . . no matter what is thrown at you, you will learn that you can handle it.

Foreword
As I began to write this foreword for Mary Beth’s book, Tell Me What You CAN Do, a serendipitous event occurred. I am a mental health counselor, and one of my clients handed me a calendar written by Louise Hay, who is well known is the healing fields. The calendar’s title was I Can Do It,
and contained daily affirmations to remind us of all the things we can do in and with our lives. I chuckled, and the client looked at me, perplexed. I explained to her about Mary Beth’s book Tell Me What You CAN Do and the uncanny timing of receiving such a calendar.
