    Introduction

    I remember looking up into the starry night as a child with awe and wonder of the mysterious universe. I was bewildered with questions of existence and the universe. Where did space end? If it ended, what was beyond it? For there had to be something. If there was a God, where did he come from? How could he just be there without any previous moment of coming into being? Yet, if he did come into being, what did he come from? He couldn't just have formulated out of nothing, so he had to always be there. Even the atheist who does not believe in God must struggle with some of the same thoughts. And though science tries to explain it, realistic reason and common sense demands the conclusion that they have failed miserably. Though I still sometimes wonder about the answers to many of these questions, I know that I am but a finite creature trying to understand things that may well dwell beyond time and dimension, and so beyond our comprehension in our mortal state. Yet, even though I was not raised in a religious home, one thing has always seemed certain: This miracle of this universe and life itself bares witness to my soul of a divine Creator.

    From the beginning of our creation, we have been surrounded with a cloud of witnesses in nature testifying to the existence of a Creator. As was written by the Psalmist David, The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard (Psalm 19:1-3). In addition, the Apostle Paul declares, For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse (Romans 1:20).
