Who is Jesus Christ: The Complete Story
Author

Rev. Abraham Howard Jr.

Served thirty years in the US Army, and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer four. Started out in the Baptist church at an early age. During my travels with the military I fellowshipped my membership with the Church of God in Christ, branches of the Methodist Church, the Catholic Church, the Southern Baptist Church, Pentecostal church's, and the Assembly of God Church. In all those church's I was allowed to sing in the choir, teach Sunday School and Bible study classes, and serve in an administrative capacity. I Pastored two church's from the ground up. Wrote two books: Searching for Jesus, and Who is Jesus Christ: The Complete Story. Grew up singing blues, and rock and roll in a semi-professional band. Switched over to singing gospel music at the age of twenty-four, and have been aligned with gospel quartet groups ever since.

    RESEARCH NOTES

    BIBLIOGRAPHY

    Preface

Many authors have written concerning the authenticity of the Lord Jesus Christ as the Messiah. The Hebrew writers of the Old Testament foretold of his impeding coming to the earth. New Testament writers sustained the Old Testament writing, and implied Jesus Christ is God: The Son of God.

So, thousands of books have been published, countless articles written, numerous movies produced, and hundreds of Christian religious denominations formed to try to get at the truth of Jesus Christ. But I believe that it all boils down to what’s written in the Holy Bible. For this is the only informational source about the mystery surrounding the man Jesus Christ. Foretold prophesies, his birth by a virgin woman, his fulfilling of ancient prophesies, his powerful miracles, and awe-inspiring teaching, the circumstances surrounding his death (on or around the time of the Hebrew Passover), his burial in an unmarked grave, and his resurrection from the dead are all contained in this one book.

In my first book, "Searching for Jesus—A Bible Study Book" (ISBN 9781609576677), published in 2010 by Xulon Press, I presented scripture (Old and New Testament) as a basis for examination, study, and discussion to explain my research in finding the physical presence of Christ Jesus throughout the Bible.

However, feedback indicated the book was a bit over the top for those who have not really studied the Scriptures, and more explanation was needed. In this book, after much thought and input from fellow Christians, I decided to concentrate on what the New Testament writers wrote about Christ concerning the past (the Old Testament), the present (the four Gospels and the Epistles), and the future (the book of Revelation).

This book is a compilation of over twenty years of my personal Bible study notes: garnered from teaching Sunday school, writing sermons, studying authors, reviewing other bibles, compiling newspaper clippings, critiquing movies, listening to televangelists, reading magazines, keeping up with tabloids, and the like. So if at times I step out of the traditional box or seem to be reaching or stretching to get at an answer to a certain scripture; remember I’m trying to explain a difficult subject concerning the Lord Jesus Christ—the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the first and the last, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, which is and which was, and which is to come.

My hope is that it will reach the eyes, ears, and minds of those who are hungry for the truth concerning Christ Jesus: and those who like to debate this subject. Therefore, I ask that you please be patient with me and not take my research as fact. Conduct your own study to verify or debunk what I have written.

    Introduction

This is a concise, thorough, and theological research on the complete story of the Lord Jesus Christ (aka the Word of God). Presented are proofs in the bible that he was with God (the Father) when the heaven and earth were created. That he is the eternal light of the heaven(s). That he created all things on and under the earth. That the sun, moon, and planets were created after the earth was established. That humankind is his special creation: for humanity is a spirit contained in a fleshly spacesuit. However, angels are created spirits watching over the welfare of humankind.

That it was O Lucifer—the great Dragon, that old Serpent called the Devil and Satan—who brought sin, death, and destruction to the earth. He lied to Eve and Adam, and caused their sure deaths. That angel’s left their home in heaven to live on the earth during Noah’s time. That O Lucifer started war in heaven, and in defeat, was confined to the earth until judgment day; when he will be thrown into the lake of fire.

That Christ Jesus physically visited with the prophet Abraham, and knew him as a friend. That he was with Moses and the children of Israel as they traveled through the Sinai wilderness for forty years. That he was a close friend of Moses and Elijah. That he visited with the prophets of the Old Testament.

That he is truly the Savior of humankind, the only begotten Son of the true and living God. That he is the Great Prophet: for he revealed to us the past, present, and future. That he came and left this earth on a prophetic timetable. That he is our Passover from death into everlasting life. That he is the resurrection of the dead (both good and evil). That he is the baptizer of the Holy Ghost - the Spirit of God. That he is the one who will judge humankind’s works, deeds, righteousness, and unrighteousness.

Therefore, I say to you, if you lack knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and desire to know more, this book is for you. However, I beg you not to ignore the message I am delivering to all of humankind—the good, the bad, the ugly, the saved, and the lost—for your very soul is at stake.

    The 2nd Edition

This book is an upgrade to my original finding, and is presented to help the unlearned and the scholar to better understand the Holy Bible writings concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, and his relationship to God (the Father) and mankind.

The difficulty in this task is trying to find a method that will not only give the needed information, but also enhance knowledge of the subject; not straying too deep into prophecy, works, or theology. Therefore, I have decided to give scripture, were needed, to stress and prove certain points, and write my commentary in between as a book; and add the study scriptures at the end of the book as Research Notes: therefore, please pay attention to these end of book notes. All scripture presented are from the King James Version of the Holy Bible.

I realize that this is a tough subject, but the truth and belief in Christ must be proven by the scriptures. When the Apostle Paul spoke to the Jews at the Berea Synagogue, They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. And just like those people it is incombered upon the followers of Jesus to build up confidence in Christ by research, and meditation on the Holy Bible scriptures. In other words, know what you are talking about. Someone wrote a wise saying that I learned a long time ago:

"He that think he knows, and knows not is a fool.

He that knows, but don’t know that he knows is

also, a fool. But he that knows, and know that he

knows, is a wise man that is able to help others."

    CHAPTER 1

    CHRIST NAME’S

A name could mean everything, or a name could mean nothing; it all depends on who knows your name. At a very early age my brother and I were called by our nick-name. Nobody ever addressed us by our birth name. And for some unknown reason nick-names were used throughout the community: in the home, on the street, and when conducting business transactions. If you were looking for someone, and used their birth name, you would end up on a dead-end street. However, if you knew, and used their nick-name, you would find them with accuracy, and they would be pointed out, and described in detail.

Therefore, in order to understand and stabilize our search, we are going to first explore the different names that Christ Jesus was called (is called) throughout the bible.

Jesus is Called the Word of God

Of all the New Testament writers, John is the only one that called Jesus The Word of God. He first used this term as an introduction to his gospel, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, the same was in the beginning with God.¹ John wrote this information around 66 AD and could have only gotten it from the lips of Jesus Christ.

He used it again when he wrote For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.²

Then on the Isle of Patmos (around A.D. 95) he was given a snap shot of heaven, and wrote down what he saw and heard: confirming the heavenly name of Jesus Christ, And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.³

Jesus is Called the Son of God

When Matthew expressed the Triune God head (The Trinity), he did not call Jesus The Word of God [for he only knew him as the only begotten Son of God]; Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

However, there are more than twenty-seven scriptures⁵ that indicate that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. But the most prominent is declared by God the Father. First when he was baptized by John the Baptist; And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matthew 3:17) And again, when He was up on the mountain with Peter, James and John, While he yet spoke, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. (Matthew 17:5) Lastly, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to die, He said, Father glorify thy name. Then came a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again. The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

Peter on the other hand was quick to acknowledge who Jesus was: When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

The Pharisees, the scribes, and the elders were the main Jews that did not believe that Jesus was the son of God, and did "persecute Jesus and sought to slay him, because he had done these things (healing) on the sabbath day. When asked why he healed on the sabbath day, Jesus answered and said, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore, the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he had broken the sabbath (law), but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God."⁸

Jesus is Called Christ / Messiah

The name Christ and Messiah are joined together as one, but expressed differently according on how you identify the savior. At seven different times was this method used:

The angels in heaven said on the day of his birth, For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:11)

When John the Baptist pointed Jesus out as the Lamb of God, Andrew his disciple findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. (John 1: 41)

The woman at the well said, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. (John 4:25-26)

Before he was crucified Jesus announced to his disciples who he was, And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (John 17: 3)

Jesus warned his disciples that there was only one Christ; And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. (Matthew 23: 9-10)

When the Jews were gathered in the Judgment hall to hear the sentence of Jesus, "Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ? (Matthew 27: 17)

When the prophet Daniel was praying, the angel Gabriel brought him a message concerning the seventy years of Jewish captivity by the Babylonian Empire, and the time line of the Messiah which was accomplished in Jesus Christ.

Jesus is Called the Son of David

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Luke 2: 30-33)

This announcement by the angel Gabriel confirmed to Mary that she would borne a baby not fashioned by the seed of man; and his name would be called Jesus, the son of the Highest of the house of King David; which is to be accomplished through her tribe of Judah lineage; which is generally felt to be the genealogy list ascribed in Luke 3:23-38. However, the genealogy of Christ, in relationship to his earthy father Joseph is listed in Matthew 1: 1-16.

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. (Matthew 9: 27)

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. (Revelation 5:5)

The reference to him being the Lion of Judah comes from a prophecy given by Jacob in Genesis 49:8-12, and God’s promise to David that his house, kingdom, and throne would be established forever. (2 Samuel 7: 1-17).

Jesus is Called the Lamb of God

I found that this is the name, most preferred when addressing Christ in the book of Revelation. Since Christ was sacrificed for mankind, it stands to reason that his new title is The Lamb of God; for he is no longer referred to as The Word of God or even Christ. Once again, I will provide you with the scriptures that relate to Christ as the Lamb of God. Why? Because there are so many interpretations of the Holy Bible, and I want to keep your train of thought concentrated in one language and one direction. My other reasoning is that it will save you the time of looking up the scriptures.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me. And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. (John 1:29-31)

The Lamb is the only one authorized to take the book out of the one who sets on the throne in heaven; and loose the seven seals upon the earth. When He does this deed, the entire heavenly host began to shout, cry and sing praises unto the Father and the Lamb.¹⁰

    Conclusion

From Genesis to Revelation there are a lot of references concerning Christ, but no clear description is ever given of him. Different names are used to substantiate his visits to the earth, but there aren’t any known physical records that he ever existed except for what’s written in the Holy Bible. And even at that, without tedious research and study, you will not see or identify him at all, except for Old Testament prophecy that was fulfilled in the New Testament.

This is a mystery, because no one really knows him except God the Father, and no one really knows God the Father except him.¹¹ His disciples walked with him for over three years, but they still didn’t know him. When Phillip asked him to show them the Father Jesus gave them a strange answer; which is a direct reference to the ONE-NESS of Christ and the Father:

John 14: 8. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

    9. Jesus saith unto him, have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

    10. Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

    11. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

In his sermon How the Father, the Son, & Holy Ghost are one Bishop T.D. Jakes used water to explain this mystery. He said, if you have a glass of liquid water, and put ice in it, you will notice the ice is in the water. However, ice is frozen water. Therefore, the water and the ice look separate in the glass; but the ice is in the water, and the water is in the ice: and they are one of the same. Yet, if you heat the glass of water and ice together you will get a mist that we call steam, but it is still water. Final conclusion is that the water, the ice, and the steam are all three separates but one of the same.

Therefore, water has three characteristics (liquid, ice, steam) but never loses its basic chemical formula called H20: which is "a clear, colorless, odorless, and tasteless compound of hydrogen and oxygen, occurring as a liquid that covers about three-quarters of the earth’s surface, and also in solid form as ice, and in a gaseous form which we call clouds.¹²

Liquid water is the basic life-giving fluid that everything on the earth has to have in order to sustain live within, and without its structure. Ice on the other hand is used to preserve the things of the earth for long periods of time; and is able to hold back aging. But steam comes from both liquid water and ice, and is the vehicle that carries water up into the heaven to form clouds of mist, which returns to the earth as rain.

It can be surmised that God is like liquid water, because everything on earth needs him to live. The Son is like ice, because he saves and preserves the soul until it is ready to return to the Father. The Holy Ghost is likened to steam, because it is through his power that the souls are carried up into the heaven. And so, it is that the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost are three, but also one within each other.¹³

Therefore, all the names above are used throughout the Holy Bible to describe one person during different dispensations, times of history, and interactions with prophets, peoples, and events.

Yet, after more than two-thousand years, since the cross, the mystery of Christ and God are still debated to the point of contention. Some recognize the God Jehovah. Others seem to think that God is one entity with three personalities. Still, others believe that Jesus is God manifested in different dispensations of time. And this is why we are searching the scriptures to find if what is written about him is true.

    CHAPTER 2

    CREATION OF HEAVEN AND EARTH

Genesis 1: 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

    2. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

    3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

    4. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

    5. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day."

    First Day of Creation

On the first day of creation the Father created the heaven and the earth. The heaven is the home of God, and earth is his resting place; for it is written, Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool¹⁴

Mankind has a name for the different sections of heaven; such as the universe, the cosmos, star systems, galaxies, constellations, solar systems, and interstellar space to name a few. But to God the heaven is one singular unit; the same as He, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are one.

However, God knows the thoughts of mankind, and left us with this word of wisdom, The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lords; but the earth hath he given to the children of men.¹⁵

So, then it is plain to see that the earth is a spinning water ball (without form or life) that is suspended in darkness; and that the Holy Ghost (living water)¹⁶ is preparing the water for life upon the earth.

    The Darkness

Why is the heaven and the earth created in total darkness? The only explanation is referenced in the Holy Bible which states that God the Father is shrouded in darkness; thereby keeping his identity a secret.

When Moses went up on the mountain to meet with God, he heard a voice that said, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.¹⁷

From this meeting God told Moses to gather the people at the foot of the mountain, on the third day, so that he could speak with them. As the people gathered together, on the morning of the third day, they were witness to the grand entrance of God; for there were thunders, and lighting, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that the people that was in the camp trembled. And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder, and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.¹⁸

It was during this time that God gave Moses the Ten Commandments; and gave him instructions to bring his brother Aaron up to the top of the mountain; but restrain the priests and the people from coming up on the mountain lest they die.

Moses didn’t have to worry about the people trying to break through to see God; for when they saw the thundering, and the lightings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking, they hurriedly removed themselves to a safe place a far off from the mountain.

When Moses came down from the mountain, and told them about the Ten Commandments, they said, Moses speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die. And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that you sin not.

With that being said, Moses went back up on the mountain and "drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.¹⁹

There are other times when God operated in darkness; but you will have to conduct your own research to find them, for example: when God caused darkness to fall on the nation of Egypt and all the first born died; or when Adam and Eve heard his voice walking in the Garden of Eden but did not see him.

    The Spirit of God

There is not a lot written about the Spirit of God; except that Jesus said his name is called the Holy Ghost.²⁰ And the un-fallible fact is that the Holy Ghost is always a presence where God the Father is; and is his vehicle of power: Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.²¹

We see the spirit of God in action when he came upon the Benjamite Saul: and he became a new man and began to prophesy.²² Again, when John the Baptist Father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost he began to prophesy about the goodness and wonders of God.²³

Yet, Jesus said that when he is on the earth the Holy Ghost is in heaven with the Father; and when he returns to heaven (after his visit is finished on the earth) the Holy Ghost will return to the earth: Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart I will send him unto you.²⁴

Therefore, the Holy Ghost will be down on the earth until the return of Christ.

    The Eternal Light

Then God said, Let there be light: and there was light. But this light was not like the light of the sun or the moon because they were not created until the fourth day of creation. This light is alive, and is the one called the Word of God: whom God commanded to step out of the darkness. Also bear in mind that this light is not created, but is a part of the Father that was hidden in the darkness. This fact is confirmed by the Apostle Paul who wrote, Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.²⁵ Those that believe that Jesus was the first created being are dead wrong in their belief, and are heading for same destruction as the unbelieving Jews: I said therefore unto you, that you shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.²⁶

John’s gospel bare witness when he said, And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.²⁷ The meaning is that no amount of darkness can distinguish this light.

This is the light that Peter, James and John saw when they witnessed Jesus being transformed into his heavenly form; so that he could talk to Moses and Elijah. Matthew recorded that Jesus was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And that above them a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Take note that the light of Jesus is above brightness, but the Father was there watching from within a near dark cloud.²⁸

After the crucifixion of Jesus, when the church was in its early stage, it was persecuted by Saul of Tarsu: a priest of the Pharisee sect.²⁹ After Saul had witnessed the stoning of Stephen, he started on a journey to Damascus with papers to bring back bound any and all followers of Jesus Christ. But to his surprise the Word of God met him as he drew near to Damascus, and his light was so bright that it blinded his party, and knocked them from their horses. When Saul retold his story, he said that the event happened around noon time, and the light was brighter than the sun, and as he fell to the ground, a voice from out of the light said, Saul, Saul, why persecutest me? And Saul answered saying, Who art thou Lord? And the voice said, I am Jesus of Nazareth whom thou persecutest.³⁰

When John was exiled on the Isle of Patmos God chose him to write the last prophetic book of the bible: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.³¹

He saw many things concerning the earth and the last days, but he was also showed the future new heaven and new earth, and the city called the New Jerusalem. The city measures four square by 1377 miles. It has twelve pearly gates; with three facing, north, south, east and west: inscribed with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. There is an angel assigned to each gate. "And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb (Jesus Christ) is the light thereof."³²

Note that the same light that is present on the first day of creation is also manifested before and after the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ; and will be the light in the new heaven and new earth: in a city four square of over a quarter mile. This proves that the light that is in the beginning is not a created light but the light from God (the Word of God) that shines out of darkness.

    Separation of Light and Darkness

On this day God separated light from darkness, and he called the light Day, and the darkness he called it Night. This seems to be the point where God begins the separation of all things, e.g. right from wrong, righteousness from un-righteousness, good from evil, salvation from damnation, everlasting life from death eternal, the wide gate from the narrow gate, the church from the world, the spirit of flesh from the Holy Ghost, mankind from angels, the Son God from the son of the morning, the sheep from the goats, the Shepard from the hireling, the preacher from the false prophet, and etc.

Yet, how strange it is indeed that on the fourth day of creation there is also a light for the day (the sun) and a light for the night (the moon); with a twenty-four-hour rotation to regulate days, weeks, months, and years.

    God’s Day

Further, note that the day of God starts in darkness and ends in the light; the evening and the morning was the first day. This brings up the question, Since there is no Sun or Moon, how long was the first day? In the Old testament it is written, For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.³³ Peter backs this up when he wrote, But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.³⁴

A great mystery that mankind cannot solve. However, we can look at something that Jesus said that may shed some light on the subject; For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.³⁵ Looking at what he said, I noticed that he expressed Day and Night as on the first day of creation: evening and the morning = 6 pm until 6 am / and the day time = 6 am to 6 pm. In the modern way of thinking we would say three days which would include both day and night: from midnight to midnight [24 hours].

Yet, looking at the expression evening and morning were the first day brings into question that it really is only twelve hours. Other twelve-hours will have to happen before it can be called a full day

Mathematically, if an event happened at ten o’clock PM on the 13th day of the month we would count it as the 13th day. But if you use bible logic, the event would be counted as starting on the 12th day, and ending on the 13th day. Well, all I can say is, "Learn Gods way and you’ll do fine!

    First Day Conclusion

That God the Father is the creator of heaven and earth.

That the earth is one big ball of water (without form and void).

That the earth is suspended in place, and spinning in darkness.

That the Spirit of God {the Holy Ghost} is there; moving upon the face of the waters (solid water).

That there is total darkness until God said Let there be light.

That the light was before the fourth day creation of the Sun, Moon and Stars.

That God was well pleased with the light that came forth from darkness.

That the Word of God[Christ Jesus] is not clearly seen, but he is the light called out of darkness.

That there is a separation of light and darkness, and the beginning of Day and Night.

That God’s day begins in the evening (night), and ends at the beginning of day (morning).

    The Gap Theory

The Gap theory reasons that there is a lost period of time between the first, and second verse of Genesis chapter one; that the earth was ruled by Satan and destroyed by a flood when he and some angels rebelled against God; that all the previous animals (dinosaurs) and water-borne life-forms were also destroyed; and that God re-created the earth in six days, thereby justifying the evening and the morning as twenty-four hour periods for the entire six days of creation.

In the twenty-first century, this theory is presented (and believed as a truth) by some preachers of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, taught in theological classrooms, and are part of the oral doctrine of numerous church denominations. One of the main sources of information on this theory is (Finis Jennings) Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible. Dake backs up his theory with numerous scriptures, and copious commentary notes.³⁶

The question remains: If the theory is the truth, where is the factual proof? The only answer I can give is that you must research all available data and judge the results yourself, because belief in God and scriptural writing is encumbered on each individual.

    CHAPTER 3

    CREATION ON THE EARTH

John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

    2. The same was in the beginning with God.

    3. All things were made by him: and without him was not any thing made that was made.

    4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

    5. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.

John states, as an introduction to his gospel, that the Word of God (Jesus Christ) was with the Father [God] in the beginning, and was also an equal with God. John wrote this statement before any of his other writing. John further quoted Jesus as saying, My Father is greater than I. (John 14: 28) John also, wrote down other startling statements about Jesus being in the beginning with the Father:

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. (John 17:5)

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. (John 17:24)

"For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. (John 6:38)

"And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. (John 5:37)

"Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. (John 6:46)

The Old Testament, in the book of Proverbs, also gave witness to the beginning, before the earth was created; which helps to substantiate the writing of John:

The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face Of the depth: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth: Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.³⁷

From these writings there is no doubt that living entities existed before the earth was created: and that these entities were responsible to each other, and their actions. Added to this is the fact that this heaven is what we call outer space, where there is no breathable oxygen: but there is a gaseous atmosphere that only God, The Word, and the Holy is cognize of. For mankind to live and breathe in outer space he must resort to space ships and space suits.

Now does that make God, the Word, and the Holy Ghost aliens? Or space creatures from another world? Or even a super race controlling the earth through some type of sophisticated computer design? According to the science fiction world all these statements could be true. This can be proved with movies like the Matrix, Life Force, Star Trek, Thor, West World, Star Wars, and etc.

To believe that Jesus was with the Father before the creation of heaven and earth, and was sent from heaven to dwell among men as a human being, and to suffer and die on a cross for all mankind, and then rise from the dead and return to the heaven from whence he came is within itself mind blowing, and hard to comprehend; however, this is exactly what the scriptures are hinting at for us to believe. And make no bones about it, when your mind is renewed to this line of thinking you will be free of all earthly and worldly thinking.

For the Lord Jesus Christ saith to those that believe in him, If ye continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. If thee son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.³⁸

    Second Day of Creation

The song says, For this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.³⁹ The Father rejoiced in this day, because this is when the Word of God began to carry out the creation orders of the Father.

The truism is when John wrote, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.

There is no question that when God created the heaven and the earth that the Word of God and the Holy Ghost were right there with him. It is stated that all the things of, and on the earth were created by the Word of God; and this is what I will be closely scrutinizing. First let’s look at the second day scripture:

Genesis 1: 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

When looking at the scripture it doesn’t jump out at you that the Word of God is creating anything! But a closer look begs the question, "Why would God say let there be, and then create what he declared to come into existence? Do you agree that this makes no since! But what does make since is that the Father told the Word what he wanted
