Chapter One

I can trace back for you the exact day that I became a cougar. It’s a story that I can share with you now. Of course, as you know, a cougar is an older, or middle-aged woman that enjoys the company of younger men.

My name is Gabrielle Long. My friends call me Gabi. As a 38-year old, I didn’t think of myself as cougar material. I have two children, my daughter is a college freshman and has moved away, at least for now. My son is 16, lives mostly with me, except for first, third and fifth weekends when he goes to stay with Asshole.

Asshole, as I call him now, is my ex-husband. I won’t give you his real name. To paraphrase the old TV Dragnet, the names have been changed to protect the flagrantly guilty. Frankly, it won’t be needed, because you won’t hear me say it. In all conversations at all times, I simply call him Asshole. It’s just easier that way. When I’m with my kids, I’m polite and refer to him as Your father. My lawyer says I shouldn’t talk shit about Asshole in front of the kids, so I do my best not to.

Anyway, Asshole told me about a year ago that he was leaving me for his bimbo secretary. She was a 23-year-old blonde floozie, with gigantic fake tits, and the intelligence level of a brick. I had caught him banging away on her after hiring a private detective and gave him a choice of her or me. He chose her. Like I said, he’s an Asshole.

So after about a year or so of self-induced abstinence, I decided to get back out on the scene. Oddly enough, the person who talked me into it was Asshole’s sister, Rita.
