    Chapter One

Tamra saw him for the first time one day as she looked her window in mid-afternoon. The house next door had sat vacant for months, even since before her husband had left her months before, leaving her heart-broken as he abandoned her for a younger model.

Looking out of her house, she saw a huge, muscle-bound black man carrying a stack of boxes. He wore a small pair of athletic shorts that seemed strained to contain his muscular thighs. His narrow wasp-like waist tapered up into a massive torso that was contained in a dark gray piece of athletic wear. It looked to be one of those tiny shirts that expand to a mind-boggling degree, but leave the wearer tightly embraced in its grip. From the waist up, every rippling muscle on his body was clearly visible through the thin, skin-tight fabric.

He easily walked down the ramp carrying a stack of three boxes, one atop another. He appeared to be unfazed by the weight and bulk of the load he was carrying.

Hmmmm, she thought to herself. She decided that he must be a worker for a moving company, and that he got so muscle-bound loading and unloading furniture for a living. Then her eyes were pulled to the side of the orange moving truck.

Big black letters spelling U-Haul made it clear that this probably wasn’t a professional job.

She wondered if the hulking black man was going to be her new neighbor. She decided that if he dressed like that every day it would certainly do much to improve
