      My phone buzzed to life on the nightstand. Judging by the light outside, it was late afternoon and nearing time to get ready for my night class.       I fumbled for the phone and held it up to my face. It was Trisha’s number, meaning I probably had another client to take care of. Her own pregnancy test had come back positive, while the dean’s wife, Heather, and Brooke’s status were still up in the air.

      I tapped the simulated answer button, trying not to sound too irritated. Another client, Trisha?
