      I just don’t get what’s in this for you, I said, though I knew I should keep my mouth shut. I was about to get everything I ever dreamed of.

      There’s nothing in it for me, but… The beautiful voice on the other end of the phone paused. But these mean girls need to pay, and you’re the only person I trust to do this.

      I wondered why Lindsey trusted me. We had been friends in high school, even though I had wanted much more. Now that we were in college, I wasn’t even in the friendzone. She hadn’t spoken three words to me. Not since she met The Cuties. Not before today.

      But, again, I knew I shouldn’t ask questions. I was about to get the kind of experience that most men only dream of, and if it was for Lindsey to get her revenge, or to see justice, or whatever, who cared?

      Yeah, okay, I said. For your sake, I’ll make them pay.

      I walked behind Lindsey into the dorm room that the four girls shared, my heart beating at a thousand beats per minute. This was it. I couldn’t afford to lose my nerve, or even look less than 100% confident.

      As I walked in, I saw the other three members of The Cuties. Why they had picked that name for themselves, I didn’t know. Maybe they looked cute, but they were anything but cuties. As I saw the way they frowned at me, I knew that they earned the nicknames that people gave them. The most popular one was a word that also started with CU but was a lot more vulgar than cuties.

      The girl on the far bed was a shorter blonde. I knew her name was Rachel, and she was the de facto leader of The Cuties. She scoffed as soon as she saw me. Who is this, and what is he doing here? She was wearing pink designer clothes, playing on the latest
