About this audiobook

She's my sister's best friend.
She thinks I've never noticed her.
She couldn't be more wrong.
Now I just need to prove it to her...before she walks down the aisle.

Brooklyn Tanner and Andrew Brinks have a long history...one she wants nothing more than to forget. Considering he's her best friend's brother and single father to two amazing girls who mean the world to her, it's almost impossible.

When the man she's been dating proposes, she thinks it's exactly what she needs to finally close this chapter of her life. After all, over sixteen years have passed since she gave Andrew Brinks her heart, only for him to destroy it. Why should that matter now?

But it matters to Drew.

    There are a few tropes involved here.

    You've got;
    - Sport
    - Friends to lovers
    - Cheating
    - Second chance
    - Best friend's brother
    - Single dad
    - He falls first

    I was surprised about the cheating trope, even if it is slight and I know a lot of readers don't enjoy this trope but I don't mind it. It wasn't intense, but lines were crossed, and I felt sorry for her fiance who doted on her.

    Drew knows he's crossing a line but he also doesn't want to lose these last moments with Brooklyn because he knows that if she gets married then he's lost her. He already messed up one chance with her and he can't afford to do it again. Little does Brooklyn know why Drew messed up so many years ago and hopefully, she'll find that out in the next book because we already know.

    I loved Drew's character and his daughters. They really played a large part in the book which I think is a substantial part of the story when you bring in the single dad trope. It was nice to see Brooklyn so heavily involved in their lives still even though she had a past with Drew already.
