Book is ok. I found the narrator's very slow, dramatic style quite irritating .

Adele's character I found unlikeable and annoying. An unlikeable storyline.. Why doesn't the murderer kill the people who harmed him rather than random strangers?

Well, for the hell that the spade killer brought into her life, so this is how he got to die. This place where he had taken Elise Romei's life is where his ended. Adele Sharp did a good job, but it is very sad that it had to come down between agent John Renee's daughter for her to finally show some courage.
Love that she got to save the day and end this killer once and for all.
