- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book has seriously transformed the way I work with clients as their mental health therapist. It has reframed the way I view stress and has reinforced the message of self care in an evidence based no BS way. I LOVE that.
I would have rated this title 5 stars if there had been less man bashing and political messages being delivered. I certainly did not purchase this book to hear about how oppressed I am as a women. Was getting quite tired of the phrase "patriarch...eck" We get it, you hate masculinity and everything it stands for.
I have recommended this book to other women but have warned them...as long as you can stick to the science and real life tools to deal with stress and ignore the underlying agenda, you will gain great knowledge. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I like this book because this book is very helpful for i learn many things from this book.

I found it to be revolutionary ... it explained so much to me about why I was feeling the way that I was feeling.Much better than the average self-help book. It has all the usual good advice bits, and a few that were even new to me, specific advice for finishing the stress cycle, getting lots of rest, what self-care really looks like.Everyone is burned out these days.Most of us (especially men) are brought up believing that you must be pretty, happy, calm, and generous at all times: Failure is not an option.
This book blows the doors off all that, by uncovering the true elements of and causes of burnout (with help from Star Trek!) and gives the tools and techniques needed to combat burnout. This book is the much needed and urgent answer to a desperate call from all of us. I suspect that I'm going to be working for a long time to work on unlocking my own stress cycle. I bought this review because I've been reading the Longest Ride, and I'm desperate to talk about all the plot points and twists that I think I'm picking up on. Obviously, reading this analysis isn't the same as talking to another person, but boy, it's a very close second! This review has been awesome. There have been little things here and there in the book that seemed to connect in the grander scheme of things, and using this analysis along with the book has confirmed some things for me, as well as opened my eyes to things I definitely missed. If you've read The Longest Ride, are currently reading it or thinking about reading it, do yourself a favor and pick up this review as well. The book has been made several times more enjoyable by going back over each chapter with the analysis
