It’s not a bad book, but she’s just sooo annoying like a little kid saying I can do it all by myself but then cry when things don’t work out and not willing to trying and learn how to do it probably

The book as a whole has an interesting concept, I can somewhat get behind. However the main female lead has not been portrayed in an attractive light. She is 17 - 18 and beats up fully grown men, taking on 3 to 6 men at a time, completely unrealistic considering no prior training or anything. The mention of the brass knuckles I found particularly grating and excessive. The characters female empowerment has been made excessive, making her very hostile and hard to relate to. Another issue was the incessant swearing which made it hard to love her. I will be listening to book 2, however the ending of book one does not inspire much hope.

Written well, orphan, murder, mystery and a reverse harem? A girl finding her way after being alone and lost all her life. A stubborn bitter bad ass lands where she is supposed to be surrounded by a society of men and takes her place amongst them. Worth a listen for sure. I've read better but this definitely kept my attention with all the twist and turns. When there is spice it's ??? Starting 2nd book now!
