About this audiobook

In the middle of a crowded bar in our small Alaskan town, my estranged wife snuggles up to me as if we’re still a happy couple.

Don’t get me wrong, we were a happy couple—before she walked out on me a year ago. We were the high school sweethearts everyone thought were destined to be together forever. We thought so too, which is why we married shortly after graduation.

We had a good marriage. Until she left me without any real explanation.

Now, she’s back—and this is the real kicker—she has amnesia and thinks I’m still her husband. Technically I am, although the divorce papers are sitting at the lawyer’s office.

She’s desperate to remember her life in Sunrise Bay but I only want to find out why she left me. Once we conjure that memory up, it’s sayonara because there’s no second chances here. But as you probably already figured out, things didn’t go quite as I planned.

Well written, but I found the reason for leaving a bit weak, however the amnesia detail did add a bit of a twist. I do love the second chance-getting to know one another again aspect.

    3.5 Stars for me

This one was a bit difficult due to the continuous anger of the H. If my wife left and broke all communications with me for a long period of time, then turns up with amnesia, I am going to want to know why. Will I be angry? Yes. Will I treat the h with malice? No

The story is well written and you gain more knowledge over time but the reason for leaving was a terrible one and would make you think that the H knew nothing about the H.

I will definitely keep reading the series and know that most will love this story.

Nice change of pace from typical plots. Excited for the third book.

Loved the love story of Adam and Lucy!! It had me in tears and then laughing so hard. I seriously don’t think I’ve laughed as hard when it was the past where they were at paint night. Loved the narration authors.

I found the h extremely annoying and selfish. She barely takes into consideration that she just left her partner of 10yrs without an explanation. His parents were also ridiculous. They guilt him into bending over backwards and going through all this pain, again, for her when he was the one that was left hanging. And the reason for her leaving was also selfish. The narrators were good though. Other than the parents, I liked most of the H's family but I won't be continuing with the series. If the other plots are anything like this, I would only hate it.
