We’re going away for the weekend, as we often do: my husband is a big fan of anything involving the boondocks, campfires and Venter trailers. This time, though, we’re going away with four friends to an actual house, with a roof and a floor, and it’s only a four-hour drive away. Lockdown has really softened him up.
The plan is to leave on Friday, 12 sharp. After 21 years of marriage, I’ve learnt that that translates to about 3 pm in English.
