Gimme, gimme, gimme
Confession time. I’ve never watched Mamma Mia! (the movie or the stage show). I know, I know, where have I been? So when my cousin came to Cape Town with the production I took the opportunity to tick this classic off my list.
The show is set on a Greek island. Bride-to-be Sophie invites three men from her mother’s past to the island in the hope of finding out which one is her father. Cue dancing, singing and drama!
Directed by Janice Honeyman, this production features familiar faces from stage and screen, including Kiruna-Lind Devar as Sophie; Gianluca Gironi as Sky, Sophie’s fiancé; and Emmanuel Castis, Matt Newman and Tiaan
